Re: Set default columns for Detailed view)?
Hi again guys, Sorry for the long delay... We're remodeling and everything is chaos here. 😜💦 as far as columns are concerned, "default" is whatever you've used last time! Of course in a complex program like xplorer2 there are ifs and buts... e.g. if you are overusing custom folder settings...

Set default columns for Detailed view)?
Hi, When I switch to Detailed view (View > Pane Style > Details), I find that x2 has "forgotten" the previous columns I've used, and has returned to: Filename / Extension / Size / Attributes / Modified (The "Modified" column is very odd, BTW—it just says things like "Recentl...

Remove big icons from menu commands?
Hi everyone, I've installed xplorer2 Pro 5.3.0.2 here in Windows 11 at 2880x1800 resolution. For some reason, large icons are appearing on all the menus, making them much bigger than necessary: https://i.postimg.cc/50kFhrXQ/xplorer2-screenshot.jpg I don't need icons at all, just the commands. Is the...

Open new tabs next to current ones?
Hey guys – Can x2 be set so new tabs open to the right of the active tab? Since new tabs duplicate the active tab by default, it doesn't seem unreasonable for them to be together, rather than placing the new one after all the others... You obviously had other ideas about that, but it'll be great if ...

Hey, that's nothing—check out these peeps in Japan: Inside Japan's Penis Festival (Buzzfeednews.com) "A hundred thousand revelers come here to celebrate one thing: the male organ." (They started doing it in 1969 .) https://img.theculturetrip.com/1024x574/smart/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/sc...

Re: Could this be ...
One of my personal favourites of watching the lads from the County Council trim the public hedges is when they just tack a generic grass-cutting extension onto the back of a JCB and then drive along applying it vertically to whatever needs cutting - hedges, tree branches, etc. Even by my low standa...

https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/styles/full_width_feature/public/15-007c_0.jpg Well, I'm sure it's very exciting, from an engineering viewpoint and all... But aren't those big toys pumping an awful lot of CO 2 into the atmosphere? Don't you think we're already doing enough of that? People ...

Two General Questions
I have two questions, and both of them are forum-related: 1. Is it really possible to have a topic called "General" when you're already in the "General Discussions" part of the forum? If this topic is "General", how can all the other topics be "General" too? I...

Re: Good luck to all Greeks
How can someone be an amateur Greek? I mean, you're either Greek or you're not, right? Or do some people pretend they're Greek just for fun? In any case, you Greek guys (amateurs and professionals) should feel lucky. Here in the US, we have a mean, cranky 10-year-old president who spends all his tim...

Re: drabble split from 7zNSE beta 1006
On the positive side, isn't this a great example of the international nature of x2? Yes, x2 is a world-spanning project. Indeed, we x2 users are part of the Earth's most dynamic, universal experiment in the evolution of file management! Also, I've had coffee—or Kaffee , as they call it in Germany, w...

v4.3.0.2 changes?
Hey guys,
I just installed x2 v4.3.0.2, and the "readme" file it opened showed only the changes up to v4.3.0.1.
I don't see any mention of 4.3.0.2 here, either... Is there a section of the forum with version details, and I just haven't seen it?

Re: Auto-updating folders WITHOUT auto-sorting?
Hi Nikos, Sorry, I just realized you'd answered... Your suggestion worked, so thanks! BTW, when you give answers like these here on the forum, it would help if you'd mention the actual "path" to the feature or setting you're referring to. For example, this one is actually here: Tools menu ...
