Menu++ not running properly anymore

I have used Menu++ without any problems on a Windows XP 32-bit machine for years. Now I have moved to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and encounter irregularly, not reproducible errors: 1.The selected menu item/action is not executed, instead the xplorer2 window would close itself. 2.One of the action...

I uninstalled x2 removing all the registry information (with backup) and reinstalled. The problem is still there, that  is even with the standard xplorer2 registry settings. So it looks very likely that it is not an xplorer2 issue. As I have looked into our Microsoft programs, I realised that the sa...

I tried to switch temporarily to an English setting. It had no effect on the icon display. Double clicking on the files works both in WE and X2. I am running an admin account. I went back to previous versions of X2, that is to 1.7.1.2 and even 1.6.5.3. No difference. So what worked with xplorer2 bef...

I am not using using the German translation.
I have not found "tools > Options > general > folder icons setting".
Do you mean "tools > Options > general > icons items"?
I have set them to "normal".

I use Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2. I do not use any 3rd party shell extension as far as I know. I have not seen this problem as I said before xplorer2 version build 1.7.1.0 (32bit). Do you mean Windows theme? I use a classic theme (modified)? This is how it looks for xplorer2 http://...

Icons for specific file types not shown in xplorer2

Hello,
I have had problems with the latest xplorer2 version (and the one before).
The icons of specific file types do not display in xplorer2 but are shown in Windows Explorer (I have seen problems with *.pdf, *.doc, *.xls etc). Others (as *.txt, *.reg etc) are displayed.
Thanks for any help.

In looking into the AutoHotkey manual I found the solution. I use the  "RunWait" command, which waits until the program finishes before continuing, and in addition the "min" option, to launch minimized. So it reads now   RunWait, gswin32c.exe -q -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sOutput...

Thanks snakebyte for your prompt help, it works pretty well for me. I had to modify   Run, gswin32c.exe, -q -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sOutputFile="%dir%\%name_no_ext%.pdf" -dAutoRotatePages=/PageByPage -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -c .setpdfwrite -f "%param%" to   R...

Menu++ with SendInput instead of Send ?

Hello snakebyte, I have used Menu++ to set up running batch templates, e.g. via Title='ps to pdf Ghostscript' Action=Send,^b,gswin32c -q -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sOutputFile="$P\$B.pdf" -dAutoRotatePages=/PageByPage -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -c .setpdfwrite -f "$F&qu...

I am very much into portable software and try to move to portable versions as they become available. So please go for it, I would be interested. I must say, that I have not tried the "xplorer2 lite edition portable" yet. Maybe that would be enough for me in the meantime. But as I said I wo...

Arrange by custom groups not available

I just realised, that I am not able to arrange by custom groups (option greyed out, not available). Do I have to change my windows explorer setting to allow grouping?
Thanks for any help

Easier use of command script

Since I am using the command script option very extensively, I would like to have the option to call specific command scripts not by browsing through a list (after ctrl+b), but by possibly assigning shortcuts and/or menu buttons in a separate toolbar. As far as I know, I cannot use the user command ...

Since we started the discussion about how to combine two or more commands with commas, I have had the problem, that some programs in their command line options use a comma for specifying options. E.g. I have used IrfanView (for cropping images) with a command line option like /crop=(x,y,w,h) To avoi...

Hello Mr.Pleasant, you do not need the "rem" part, it even works with any comment, you get an error message, but the DOS commands still work. Yes, you can have a sequence of DOS commands (several lines), that is a whole "batch file". A new line is indicated by a colon ",&quo...
