Command that summons the Bookmarks menu contents under the cursor
Is there a command that brings up the Bookmarks menu contents under the cursor? I don’t want the Organize command, I want a command that lists the bookmarks and disappears after I make a selection. I’ve got a new Logitech with extra buttons and I want to use it for quick navigation. I’ve already got...

Can Filters apply color tags
I have color coding set to apply a bold font and red background to files less than 24 hrs old. This helps me find recent downloads. I've decided it might be more subtle to use color tags (the little red box) to do this.

Re: blog: 90 sunsets
All I know is everything is confusing because not only is the orbit of the earth not a circle, but and ellipse, the earth is not dead center in this ellipse, plus it travels at different speeds depending on where it is in the ellipse. BTW, sunset happens when the upper edge of the sun disappears bel...

Thank you , thank you, thank you, for: * [P] custom xplorer² context submenu shows also when you right click "nowhere" (on a view pane's background). You may add in there menu commands that don't rely on items selected I'm putting bookmarks in it and it makes navigation a lot easier when I...

Keyboard Command To Move Cursor To Quick Filter box In Address Bar
I have not found a keyboard command to move the cursor into Quick Filter box from the folder pane if any file is selected or has been selected. Using "Unselect all" still leaves a ghost cursor box around whatever was selected last. Typing to automatically filter only seems to work on fresh...

I guess I came to the party late. I'll try anyway in case any of my suggestions are easy or intrigue you. Xplorer² Suggestions. Show the name of an applied filter in the status bar. (I change the screen to mint green to know when a filter is applied, but sometimes need to be reminded which filter it...

Re: blog: wildcards 101
Is there a wildcard for a single digit (and single character)? When I download images from the Internet with Firefox with names like "203344251_355840562566401_5108092898173595155_n." I would like to find these, and I figure just screening for file names that start with nine digits will do...

Re: blog: status bar explained
there are many filter methods, and I don't see what would be the advantage of showing them on the statusbar. as for dimmed inactive icons, that's not a bad idea. In the meantime you can use the statusbar infotip if you don't know where to double click The advantage of showing the filter name in the...

Re: blog: status bar explained
Today's post reminded me of something I've been meaning to request. The green filter icon shows when any filter is applied, but does not indicate which filter is applied. I wish the name of a filter applied showed up someplace like the Status Bar. If not there maybe the Title Bar or in the least in ...

Easier way to search for file on ONE date?
I find myself often hunting for a file on one date. Is there a quicker way to do it rather than entering the same date twice in the "Between:" section of the hyperfilter? If the date is far back in time it becomes a little bit of a chore. I’ve got some suggestions if not. First, I think ad...

Looking to replace graphics card in HP Pavilion PC 570 Desktop
I've posted this elsewhere but thought it couldn't hurt to try here also. I'm amused that physically installing a new card looks much easier that selecting one. My HP Pavilion 570 Desktop that I bought in 2018 came with some sort of graphics card installed and recently the fan has occasionally star...

Re: Show Thumbails In Groups by Creation Date
I mean more like it takes the files and puts them automatically in groups by the date in, month, day, year format (OR year, month, day).
This is real handy if you got a bunch of photographs, for example.

A simple way to toggle Tree > "Keep Synchronized With Folder In Active View Pane"
I would like a simple way to toggle Tree > "Keep Synchronized With Folder In Active View Pane" that doesn't require going into the Options dialog. I tried to create a macro to toggle it but I have a problem reaching the right tab in the Options dialog, plus I can't get it to accept OK and ...

Show Thumbails In Groups by Creation Date
It's been four years since I asked the following question so I hope there is a solution now. When I choose Arrange By Date and then Show In Groups all I get is, "Modified: This Year, Modified: Last Year, Modified: Long Ago," which aren't useful at all. I'm sure there are other users with t...
