Re: Column sets sorting issue
I see what you're saying about the columns coming back, it is an unfortunate side effect it is a case of both options having their ups and downs ( damned if you do and damned if you don't :) ) I will consider adding the sort order with the saved column set, it makes sense in the meantime to get out ...

Re: Column sets sorting issue
the way the system is organized, is to protect you without losing your settings
so when nFastFilterCnt blocks your preferred sort order, it makes a note to re-enable it for the next (small) folder
perhaps the easier solution for you would be to click on the name column manually?

I suppose you have much bottled up after ... what, 5-6 years in radio silence, so go on, blabber on
you know about the other "official" foldersize solution for this purpose, right? But no problem reinventing the wheel!

Re: SizeES: A Plugin for Fast, Persistent FolderSizes in x2 via Everything Search
as we're closing easter it's only expected to witness resurrections, so Kilmatead welcome back from the dead!
yesterday I didn't realize you were talking about folder sizes -- I thought you somehow integrated ES with xplorer2 via tc plugins...
but obviously that's not possible.

Re: Column sets sorting issue
changing columns doesn't have any effect on sort mode.
do you have the latest version?
this caches slow columns, and also warns you about slow columns whenever you enter large folders and sorts by name instead
see nFastFilterCnt registry option for more details

Re: v6
the console output in xplorer2 is a regular editor window like notepad
if you prefer a normal console, use TOOLS > OPTIONS menu and tick off the option "redirect dos command output..." in General property page

Re: v6
as for the current directory problem, it could be that you are using the context menu and in there one of your shell extensions plays with the current directory... if the DLL changes the directory, it goes for xplorer2 too. It is a possibility!

Re: v6
probably NVDA cannot read the advanced option because it is disabled... but it is only disabled if it's already ticked off! So that's probably not the cause of the curdir problem. Mystery! as for the titlebar, you can put the folder name first using TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS (!) but you can do it as ...
