do all such shortcuts cause a crash or is it only a few network links that cause trouble (if so what are these networks? --- unix etc).

If you try double-clicking the same troublesome shortcuts from windows explorer, do you get any error messages?

Oh, and Nikos--I'm still waiting.... waiting for Godo I presume? :) dude, it seems that you found the solution already! adding this option to 2x, well eventually I'll do it, but if you take a look at my TODO list, you'll see that there are many more things pending... personally i don't use th...

is there any course of actions that is guaranteed to reproduce the crashes?

Well, the forum seems to be quite busy, notwithstanding that more people seem to be browsing than actually posting (I hope you're not put off by the registration requirement, it's really easy and it's an one-off thing!) I had a few ideas about the content of this forum. Obviously the questions and a...

i'm sorry to disappoint you folks, but the full thumbnailed view is something quite difficult to implement (i'd have to start from scratch, no help from Windows API there). You can always go back to explorer for such services, when you'll be reminded why you wanted to replace the darn thing in the f...

1.3.1.7 is definately buggy so don't use it. Some silly mistake. The question is, would the older version R7x work properly in your win98? Well, I don't know, so here's a link for you to try: R7x 1.2.1.7 Still I don't believe...
