Re: Opening .cida files
I searched through the registry for "x2scrap.Document". I only got the following result: "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-4213287350-1166707532-2458168612-500\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ApplicationAssociationToasts" > "x2scrap.Document_.cida" > value 0 (see screen ca...

Re: Opening .cida files
The current version (5.2.0.1 ULT x64 15/05/2022) was installed through “Help | Check for updates”. It’s not in portable mode. It was purchased on 28/02/2021.

Quick Start help: Actions | Write contents creates a file with .cida extension and writes location information for all the items in a scrap pane. You can reopen such saved files at a later time and restore the scrap container, just like as if it was a shell document. xplorer² registers .cida files f...

Re: long file name
I recreated your folder tree structure on my E: drive. I copied my dummy PDF file to the deepest folder in the tree. Alt+C gave the following file path name: E:\data\jsw\documents\docs\business accounts\jsw\storage\alamo mini storage\2022.07.01.04.32.alamoministorage-$180.00 - rent payment\2022.08.0...

Re: long file name
Correction. 1. "long path support" is enabled in my registry. 2. I had tried to create your folder structure at one go, but as you might have noticed in my previous post, xplorer² changed the backslash characters to underscore. So my previous test was actually useless. 3. So I tried to cre...

Re: user command and MS Word
On my Windows 10 system, the following user command works fine:
>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXE $N
Note that it doesn’t use quote marks.
