Can new tab open next to current tab?

Post by ShaS »

A new tab always opens at the rightmost position.  I assume that's the only way it it can?

I know we can always drag the new tab to where you want it.

Regards,

Sha.

... so in perfect congruence w/ Mr. Gore's "global warming",
the winter up here in the frozen tundra is refusing to go away just now,

and being shut in & unable to chase the little white ball around today,
the more I'm learning about how to configure my x2, the greedier I'm becoming --->

so, let me refresh this old post and axe again -

how come? why not?

can't we program to open a New Tab immediately adjacent to the Current?

... all the other cool kids do it ??

(internet browsers as well as file browsers - like, um, QTTabBar, Q-Dir, dOpus for starts)

my R-hand back-and-forth dragging movements (to reposition tabs)
have a limited number of lifetime reps --
I need to conserve them for more important Narcissistic pleasures

{w/ sincere Thanks to Nikos .....

^bump^

seriously, as of today - is it possible to open New Tab next to Current Tab?

If not, why not, please?

*does it conflict w/ other commands?

*not a priority, so not a possibility?

Thank you for time to address this today.

How about it, is it possible to open a new tab next to the current tab?
And if not, would it be possible to maybe perhaps think about adding this feature, please?
