is there a feature in 2xExplorer to compare two files by their content? i couldn't find it and i think it's a nice thing to have...

alt+F9 does that but it won't give you a graphic interpretation like windiff does

nikos seems to understand,but what kind of comparison are you trying to make ?
I use 2 pane for some that i compare,usually for date or size.

what i want to do is select one file in each pane and then compare them byte by byte to see if they are identical or not.

alt+f9
if you want to compare just the selected files make sure you use a filter so that you only see what you want to compare
