if only i could unlock the password mechanism so that you don't have to type it in the addressbar...

Yes, But the real "problem" I see with it so far is that the password winds up in the registry in unencrypted form -- so it shouldn't be used on a public or shared computer to visit private ftp sites.

but if the password was only inserted in the "proper" dialog (as IE does it) it wouldn't be a problem
