"CR" results in a linebreak,
"CRLF" as well. But
"CRCRLF" is displayed as a blank (no linebreak).
Is this behaviour intended? I would expect a linebreak...

CR CR LF ignored?

I have found similar issues with other non-hex editors that have pseudo-hex viewing capabilities. In an attempt to make HEX code more readable for they attempt to interpret CR & LF characters functionally. It looks like Editor² messed up for this case.
Another wrinkle is that if you open such a file with Editor² in edit mode (perhaps by mistake) and just save it under another name, thinking you have created a duplicate, you will discover that CRLF has been substituted for lone CR occurrences, and that a space has been substituted for each CRCRLF triplet
(but that's not a condoned way to duplicate a file)
Perhaps when nikos can take a breather from his current x² pet project, he will touch-up some of the warts on Ed²
