Keyboard customization and disappearing options

I've noticed two things about keyboard customization that warrant mention.

First, if Ctrl+S, the key for send-to-scrap, is assigned to something else, there is no way to assign anything to send-to-scrap (short of hacking the registry, which is workable but unpleasant). Send-to-scrap does not appear in the menus of available things to customize in the "customize -> keyboard..." dialog.

Second, if keys for the items under "Miscellaneous" category in the customize keyboard dialog are reassigned to something else, then the items disappear completely from the miscellaneous list and cannot be resurrected (short, again, of more hacking). The list gets shorter and shorter, and can be made to disappear entirely if all the keys it starts with in the default configuration are used for something else.

It seems likely that these things are not intentional.

not intentional definitely but inevitable nevertheless due to the internal organization of x2 commands eg send to scrap is shared with "save scrap" and could cause havoc

for the miscellaneous commands, the workaround is not to overwrite them in the first place, or at least provide them with an alternative shortcut first
