As one of the commentators to that piece mentions, when confronted with the idea that in 1918, a loaf of bread cost 0.63 marks whereas in November 1923 it cost 201,000,000,000 marks, the Weimar Republic's solution was to give up and invent a new currency.

Emotionally speaking, it's a good thing for humans to conquer Insecurity with counterfeit Confidence, just not sure that applies to financial marketing.

Understanding thread safety is not the difficult part: trace-debugging it is what puts hair on your chest.

The weak-willed just give up and spawn it off into a new process - passing the buck, as they say, with no lesser sense of irony.

And just when we thought it was safe to turn our backs on modern society and it's social control mechanisms, for those who haven't already been demoralised enough by personal experience and economic forecasts, the sequel Money as Debt II: Promises Unleashed has been released.

The only "free" source for viewing (it is, to be fair, a copyrighted DVD) at the moment is a fragmented YouTube sequence in 8 parts - but (not to coin a pertinent phrase) beggars can't be choosers - though many are, these days.

Only a 159 shopping days to Christmas, kids.
