Any word on this feature request? Perhaps as a registry option?

I would be more than happy if this was implimented as a registry setting, even turned off by default. I understand that there are people out there who don't want this feature, but there are also a lot of us who do. The ALT+F4 shortcut is pretty much a given, considering it's a standard way to close ...

I really only use scrap windows for searching, and I think a nice feature addition would be the ability to close scrap windows by pressing escape. Anyone else agree? Even if it was optional.

It's probably because I'm using an older version. I've done a lot of modications to xplorer2, too lazy to port them to the latest version since it doesn't have anything that makes me want to upgrade. Still trying to find a way to hide the history bar, to no avail.

Just use a program like ResHacker to replace the bitmap files in the xplorer2.exe file.

I've found that the Win2k icons perfectly suite xplorer2.

My point was primarily: why add stuff like this if they're no better then what they're replacing? The robust copy feature is great, but if it can't do everything the old function did while remaining simple it's useless. xplorer2 should be intelligent enough to see that when I copy c:\testfile.txt to...

Hit Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V in the same directory, instead of the expected results (A copy of the file being made) it just errors out and says that the file can not be replaced because the filename is identical. I'm finding that the robust copy feature is quite useless, at least in it's current state. When I try and copy a file, instead of making a new file with the name Copy of foobar, it says foobar can't be replaced because the filename is identical. At the very least there should be an option to close a tab in the tabs right click menu, but to be honest I think the ability to close via middle click or double click would be ideal. Most programs I know of that use tabs work in a similar fashion.

So why not make it an option? Turn it off by default, just allow the option. I can't see that 'making reading speed suffer' at all.

Would it be so hard to impliment something that just changes the toolbar images? I'm specificly looking for the ability to rename the file via F2 and have it select the entire filename, not everything but the extension.
