Re: Dropbox and color tag

Tested this here (Win10 with current x2 build) and cannot confirm. Color tags in Dropbox are retained after reboot/restart.

Re: new screenshots

nikos wrote: 2021 Feb 12, 14:13 if you install TSVN then xplorer2 reads the old status columns. I am not sure if git has something similar, is it shell-friendly or just web?
Ah, I see. Yeah, there's a Tortoise version of git, so installing that should make the columns available. Thanks!

Re: new screenshots

Snapshots working fine here in Chrome browsers.

OT, I see in screenshot 10 there is a column displaying SVN status. Where is this column? (Couldn't find it in Column customizations.) And is there a column available for git status?

Re: beta version 450.14

Also if you are using Chrome or Firefox as your browser, can you confirm that xplorer2 context help works now? Yes, this is working on chrome-based browsers now. A most welcome fix! finally, if you use dropbox for cloud storage, double check I didn't break anything lately thanks No dropbox-related ...

Re: rant: my head is full!

Well, I never expected to see Miller columns making their way into x2. :) Miller columns are actually an interesting -- and useful -- way to view files. I often use them when I'm working in the terminal.

Re: new beta version 4407

How does xplorer2 know of the beginning of words? To find the beginning of words, I think the user would need to provide some sort of delimiter (for example, whitespace, a period or a hyphen). The character after that delimter would be assumed to the beginning of a word and converted to uppercase. ...

Re: new beta version 4407

Both, actually. In xplorer2, if you go to Tools > Options > Window > Main font, the dialog that opens has a drop-down with 16 color presets for choosing the font color. I'm asking if this 16 color selector can be changed to the 40 preset/More colors picker that xplorer2 has everywhere else. Likewise...

Re: new beta version 4407

I considered capitalization but without regexp it was very hard to manage, I mean in terms of GUI. There are so many possibilities for capitalization that would require a monster interface! I understand, and thought this might be the case. :) Here's a request: Can we have a proper color selector at...

Re: new beta version 4407

Hi Nikos, I've been testing beta 4407 for a few days now, and everything seems to be working fine. The addition of UPPER- and lower-case presets to the Mass Renamer is most welcome! Is it possible to add a preset for Capitalization, as well? I remember the Deelx engine being a little arcane in that ...

Re: Mass rename question

Regex does support case conversions with the \U \L \F \I commands but these do not seem to be supported in the x2 regex. Yeah, this is standard Regex, and while these commands are implemented in the Deelx engine, they don't actually work. We tried to troubleshoot this last November, you can read ab...

Re: xplorer2 4309 beta

I'm using Brave, which is Chromium based and should render the same. To be sure, I also tested this in Google Chrome, which also mangles the URL and throws the file not found error. So why does it work for you, but not me? I suppose it could be something systemic, but I can't think what. Parsing the...

Re: xplorer2 4309 beta

Beta's working fine here. I've taken the new features for a test drive and haven't been able to break anything. :) I can't reproduce the layout bug FrizzleFry mentions above. One thing that does need to change is having all the help linked to open in Internet Explorer. IE is legacy software now, jus...

Re: RegEx Rename fail in 4.3

can you try your regexp in this tool and see what it's supposed to do? http://www.regexlab.com/mtracer/ I get the same results in MTracer as I do in x2's Mass Renamer. MTracer shows that the regexp is correctly parsing the string, it's just the the \L, \U, \Q and \E tokens seem to have no effect as...

Re: RegEx Rename fail in 4.3

Thanks, version 4.3.0.1 fixes some of the regexp problems. filename = camelCaseToSnakeCase.txt regexp = (.+?)([A-Z]) replace with = $1_$2 expected result = camel_Case_To_Snake_Case.txt result = camel_Case_To_Snake_Case.txt Hurrah, no more "c_am_el_Ca_se_To_Sn_ak_eC_as_e.txt"! Unfortunately...
