For someone, that frequently says "haven't figured it out" you sure have a great grasp of the windows api.

Yes, now I see where I am. My cmd.exe gives me \winnt\system32\cmd.exe as the window title where ever I am. So out of long habit, I am always looking to the prompt $p$g$_$g for the path. I don't belive in "public" corners of the registry. The registry is unfortunately extremely public and accessible.

I really do not need full blown macos, just the ability to remap keys, or rearrange mappings to make the consistent the other tools I use.
The last thing I need is another set of keystrokes to remember. I hate da mouse so I life by A-spacebar........
