Re: Executable icons not showing in xplorer²?
have you chosen a "plain" icon mode? Check your TOOLS > OPTIONS also a "fast network" policy (if selected by options), results in plain icons in network folders (but I don't think D: is a mapped network drive?) Ah, that fixed it. I have unselected "Faster network access wit...

Executable icons not showing in xplorer²?
But they show in Windows Explorer. See example below, in xplorer² (first picture) W10Privacy.exe has a generic executable icon, in Explorer it has the correct icon. This is not true in all folders - Downloads and Desktop in xplorer² show the expected icons. Any ideas? Windows 10 Pro, xplorer² ultima...

Re: Any news from Kilmatead?
A Google trail leads to this : http://source.southdublinlibraries.ie/bitstream/10599/4926/2/House%20of%20Corkagh.pdf The photos in there show ivy-covered "Kilmatead" and an 18th Century gunpowder mill which looks very much like the photo posted by kunkel321 and fits with previous posts by ...

Drag-and-drop not working in Windows 10 (X2 ult)
I can drag-and-drop between Explorer windows. I can copy-and-paste between xplorer2 windows. But I can't drag-and-drop between xplore2 panes, nor between xplorer2 and Explorer. I am running xplorer2 as a user with admin privileges. OS: Windows 10 Professional (x64) Build 15063.483 Xplorer2 version: ...

Re: Updating portable Xplorer2 Ultimate on non-admin PCs
usually you keep it in a USB stick so you don't have to worry about installing it True, but I keep a copy on a networked drive because USB ports aren't accessible and I can install anything (no admin rights). So to update that networked copy I have to: 1. install xplorer2 at home using Sandboxie to...

Updating portable Xplorer2 Ultimate on non-admin PCs
I use Xplorer2 Ultimate portably. On some machines I don't have full admin rights so updating it is a pain.

Tip Of The Day error?
Today's Tip Of The Day says: "Be very careful with folders that have the J attribute. These folder junctions are in essense hard links for folders; the catch is, if you try to delete the junction itself, you'll ransak all the target folder structure!" That's not true for me, I can delete t...

I have several folder junctions and I'd like to colour them, like I can with file types.
Is there any way to do this?
Many thanks

Nice video and I agree with the comment re the mini-scrap.
Microsoft's Image Resizer (creates a context menu entry "Resize Pictures") is also brilliant for this:

could you have found a bug in the settings editor? 8<snip>8 What changes can you see? Hmmm... well I found that it doesn't actually freeze, it just takes a long time to fire up first time. First I deleted the Xplorer2 keys and imported an old settings.reg. Then: 1. Export registry keys with Regedit...

2. There's nothing wrong if you have NOT turned on the Cascaded breadcrumb function. In that case both buttons on the right- and left-handed mouse work as they should. That's right. It's only cascaded menus that crash the breadcrumbs with the left-handed mouse in XP as well. Non-cascaded menus work...
