Re: load file list into scrap

This is just a reminder!! Nikos, please, please, PLEASE add the possibility to export AND import simple .txt, .cvs or other format files from/into scrap. This could take away a lot of frustration from a (non-sophisticated) user (like me). For the 2nd time I run into the same trap - tried to s...

runs like charm, maybe a bit slow when starting, but that's tolerable (espec. on a Beta version)

BUT: the fact that admin privs are needed to run the license manager - it's a real pain.

PLEASE - no special privileges to enter a license key!!

Wish: enhancement of 'find'

about find hyperfilters: when using 'containing text' group, I'd like to have another window or column showing the occurrence of each find result, together with its line number. Just to make my own sarcasm - I know there's a whole bunch of search tools available (freeware too) providing just ...

3) Robust Copy (queued!)
4) Paste special - folder structure
5) Synchronizing
My 5 favorites - there's a lot more I find cool in x2

First on my wish list: Undo..

DOCX files seem to consist of a structure of PK-zipped .XML files,
don't think searching for text makes sense there.

A simple example: 1) create a file, let's say foo.txt 2) create a color coding rule:  file modified since last 2 min,  give it a color and a name, move it to the top of color coding list 3) check enable and hit okay - the file is color coded as expected 4) wait the 2 min (or a bit longer to be sure....

When adding new rules one goes thru the customize->color coding cycle anyway - so there's a refresh done. The "age as it happens" - that's the interesting point. I've no need for an automatic changing of the age coding color, but it would be nice to have it included in the refresh command.

I love the  date/time related color coding, but I see one little annoyance:

How to do a refresh?

A simple ctrl-r doesn't influence the color coding,
I have to go thru Customize->Color Coding and hit the Okay Button to refresh.
Intentionally? Or did I miss a hidden setting?

After about 2 weeks now, I'm (almost) happy with the Portable X2 because I've now the features I missed in X2 Lite - filters, scraps, extended search, robust transfer etc etc. But - I have 2 customers, who's policies prevent the usage of regedit, so there's no import/export of settings (same goes fo...

I'd prefer X2 not bound to any PC, drive, interface, directory, NTFS right etc I don't mind if personalized to me - even PW protected at every startup. X2 could be renewed when I think I urgently need a newer version with new features....as long as the $10 paying frequency is not out of proportion R...

RickyF: Lookout v1.3 is still available from here: http://www.chip.de/downloads/c1_downloads_13013850.html Nikos: I don't like those full blown indexer search engines, they eat up too much resources (see RickyF). X2's CTRL-F search - together with the Ifilter 'plugins' - works perfectly well for me....

Nikos

- no worries, no complains!!

I simply feel more comfortable with the English version
(maybe I'm too old to get used to localization, the IT-part of the
brain always thinks in English after about 35 years in business...)
