I had this happening in X2 on Win 7 x64 for quite some time... it was indeed frustrating.  I could use Windows Explorer, go to the same UNC, then use X2, and it would be OK (for a while), but then after restart or sleep, the same issue would return. I can't say for sure what made this behavior cease...

Nikos - just wanted to thank you for this latest build, startup is definitely faster, I have a few network drives, and I do use the treeview, and the load time was painful before, but now it's much better.

Great job!

Yep, search for threads by me and you'll find I've posted about this one before.  It relates to synchronization of the tree and list. I've found the only way to preserve sanity is to perform deletes from the list, it's too frustrating to do them from the tree. I seem to recall if you turn off synch ...

Well dang, that was a bust.

First off, I had a similar locked key issue with that reg file.

I then decided to completely remove and reinstall X2, even removing every trace of zabkat or xplorer2 from the registry.

Still, no love.  ZIP files are not explored/expanded.  :(

Indeed, my settings are from an old 32-bit install, good thought!

I'm taking a look at your last thread, hope that helps.

Thanks!

@Kilmatead - thanks for the clarification to my OP, you're exactly correct. I'm doubtful the zip support has been disabled, as this is a fresh rebuild, but JIC I tried to utilize the reg files mentioned in the thread you posted, and for whatever keys were invalid or locked, Windows failed to import ...

Feature Request: Compressed preview support

Hello Nikos, I'm hoping you'll be able to implement this feature request: In [Windows 7] Explorer, I can select a compressed file, such as an Acronis TrueImage backup file (*.TIB) or a ZIP file in the folders tree, and view the contents within the right pane of Explorer. In Xplorer2 however, both ZI...

I like to be 100% aware and sure of every file on every volume or partition I'm working on, local or remote.   And... what about the "visible" incongruency of reported free disk space?  With any files or folders hidden, it's less evident what is consuming disk space. Maybe part of the forg...

Chiming in with my tab thoughts :) - Agree the truncation of labels is a nuisance, especially on large/wide monitors where you have plenty of horizontal real estate.  An option to override the default [fixed] width would be great.  Even better still would be free-form tab sizing! This could be a thi...
