Lost user commands first, now have lost bookmarks
A couple of weeks ago I noticed I lost my user commands after upgrading to 1.8.0.0. I posted my problem here but got no explanation as to why that happened. I re-created the user commands so the advice to RESTORE was not needed. When I opened x2 Pro today, I noticed that I've lost 4 out of 6 bookm...

Not sure what significance the 20th holds but I hadn't entered any new user commands for more than a year. My lost user commands have been re-entered (at least the ones I could remember). So I'm not so grouchy anymore. I will say that x2 has been so rock solid that I was literally taken aback whe...

User commands lost in upgrade
Upgraded to x2 PRO v.1.8.0.0 and it lost all my user commands. Don't like the idea of having to redo all of them.
What gives?

Thanks for the info, Nikos. I can see how running System Restore to a point before x2's installation could produce problems similar to an OS upgrade. It just seemed kinda weird to me because it didn't make sense that an upgrade would affect the operation of an app (with respect to license retrieva...

Thanks for the info. I checked my clock and it's OK. Perhaps your problem wasn't related to the clock either, though it doesn't make sense that x2 wouldn't accept your license until you changed the clock. x2's license shouldn't care what your clock says, unless it relied on the clock for its init...

x2 pro lost its license info
Because of the Conflicki worm, I updated my XP OS (something I admit I hadn't done in a while) and scanned with avast afterwards. When I turned on my computer today and tried to open x2 pro, it came up with a licensing error then popped up a box that said the evaluation period had expired and to pa...

problem loading multiple files with external editor
Please bear with the length of this post. It is a little long. Using xplorer2 v.1.7.2.2 PRO on XP Using TextPad 5.2.0 for my external editor When I select several files then hit F4 (or click Editor button), xplorer2 opens several instances of textpad instead of opening a single instance with all fi...

Nikos, if it's any comfort, you're in very good company as AVG is also flagging Sysinternals' RegMon and FileMon! I became aware of the situation yesterday when my sister informed me that AVG was telling her that one of her Gateway games (games in the Gateway folder) was infected. I thought she pi...

Same problem here with XP. Get a trojan alert message. I disabled the AVG shield, removed the three avg processes via the task manager and reinstalled x2. I'm running ok with it for now. For those who have disabled the shield and still get the false positive, did you remove the avg processes runn...

If you want an extra tab with the current directory, place the focus on the file first. Disovered that by accident after my original post. But again, it doesn't really matter in the end. That is only true if you haven't attached an application to a .ZIP file. My zips are attached to the freebie app...
