Re: xplorer2 build 5101 released
I see slow mass renames on as few as three folders. The renames I've been doing today are simple non-RE search-n-replace so they should be very fast. They are in folders with 50 or more folders that I have filtered to the ones that need renaming. I use color coding based on modification date on file...

Re: xplorer2 build 5101 released
mass renames, specially of folders, seem to be talking a lot more time with this latest version. Even with less than 10 folders to rename I am getting a progress bar and it takes several seconds.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Re: v5.1 final released
Using a dual pane makes sense. I'll have to reassign a keyboard shortcut for toggling dual pane mode.

Re: v5.1 final released
You are right. The "missing" links were already in the scrap just further down the list. Sorry about that.
What I was trying to do was send files from the find scrap pane to another new scrap pane so that I could do Ctrl-L in the new pane.

Re: v5.1 final released
Using Ctrl-L to see all the hard links for a file in the find (Ctrl-F) scrap pane does not show all the hard links for files that have 3 or more links. I seem to get 2 links for files that have 3 and 3 links for files that have more than 3. Scrap panes generated by Shift-Enter or Ctrl-S do show all ...

Re: F3 and Ctrl-F3 reversed
The paths for external text editor and viewer are set the same for all five layouts. Two of the layouts prefer editor2 if it is present and correctly named in the install folder (which seems to be the expected behavior), the three other layouts prefer the external viewer. I remember having to rename...

Re: F3 and Ctrl-F3 reversed
Well two of the five layouts I use fairly often use Editor2 when I press F3 even though I have an external text viewer defined. The other three (including my main one) use my defined external text viewer when I press F3. I don't see any settings difference that would account for this opposite behavi...

F3 and Ctrl-F3 reversed
In one of my layouts I have an external text file viewer defined but F3 uses the internal editor, Ctrl-F3 does use the defined external editor. Is there a setting that reverses what F3/Ctrl-F3 do? My main layout has the same external viewer defined and F3 uses it, so whatever is causing this is at t...

Re: Folder Statistics saving windows position popup ?
Save settings on exit is in Tools/Options/General (tab) with the main menu and File/Options/Options/General with the ribbon. The option is at the top of the tab and has a drop down to choose where the settings should be saved (registry, ini file in appdata, ini file in install folder). Saving to reg...

Re: xplorer2 beta version 5.007
* FIND ALL HARD LINKS. If you put a file that has one or more hard links in a scrap container (or in the miniscrap pane), then select it and press CTRL+L keys (or GOTO > FIND TARGET menu), you will see all its clones listed next to it. The Find Target command in the scrap pane menu in under Tools r...

Re: hard links - info about other hard links to same files?
Here is another script to list all hard links for a file. This one is in PowerShell and sends the list to an x2 scrap pane. $list = $env:tmp + '\list-hard-links.txt' if($args){ $file = (get-item $args[0]).fullname # using Hermann Schinagl's ln command which does not require admin to list links C:\to...
