I'll check it once more because when I checked it the first time, it took around 3MB on an old Dell PIII 500Mhz, also with 1GB of RAM.

Thank you nikos for this explanation. I though you could implement the way FolderSize works inside x². So if it is impossible, the best way to workaroud this, is what you told me to do : put the FolderSize column in lieu of the normal size column ? This is the only way to have both x² with all folde...

as explained x2 doesn't do that for your own good Why is it for our own good ? I can assure you FolderSize can do this very quickly (quite instantaneously) without taking too much resources. This is the only point which reduces x² ability to be the best explorer (with the impossibility to display B...

i meant you'll have to do some mental translation since KB/MB etc are hard-wired in x2 Ok, it's not a big deal :D But what about this ? :? And for the first point (all folders always automatically displayed with their sizes wherever they are located , as FolderSize is able to do, see screenshot), s...

or is there a bigger issue with the French translation/localisation ?
No this is it (as far  asI understand your sentence) :

8 bits = 1 Byte = 1 octet  (octo means 8 ;) )
1 KB = 1 Ko
1 MB = 1 Mo
1 GB = 1 Go

That's all :)

you'll have to do a little translation yourself there ;) Are you talking of translating the column "Folder Size" to "Taille", or translating "Bytes" to "Octets" ? If this is the last point, how can I do this ? For the first point, Brio the developper of Folde...

No, the folder is shown instantly, only calculation of the size of the folder may take some time (but that's what you meant anyway, isn't it Wim ;) ) Not for all folders see here what I said about it : Thank you for your explanation nikos... and you're right : it works great. See below just after o...

you mean like, reinvent the wheel?
x2 works with your shell not against it!
No I mean : this complete and reliable feature to work without the need of an optional shell for xplorer², in other words, by design.
