In windows explorer:
It will open a 7z archive.
Drag out of the archive.
Will not allow updating (drag in, add or delete).

No.
For 7z I can neither add or delete.
I can drag files out.

It started displaying .7z like a folder.
I thought it came with the last xplorer2 update.
I only exclude .rar in settings.

I really appreciate that the help is standalone.
I can print it as a PDF with all the links internal.
Which was probably by design from the first.
