Re: blog: extract text from PDF (for kindle)
How does one determine which PDF filter is being used by xplorer2?

Re: manually arrange list items
I would think that you would especially want to manually sort folders with thousands of items. In particular, you would want to place a few items at the top of the list so that you could ignore the rest of the contents. If I were to go to the trouble of sorting a folder, I would hope that the sort w...

Re: xplorer2 build 3501 released
I did not know about the F10 shortcut. It seems to work on most applications.
Thank you! You have made my day.

Re: xplorer2 build 3501 released
I took a quick poke at this and noticed that the following keyboard shortcuts don't work in Editor2: - alt-E (edit menu) - alt-T (auto-text menu) Workaround is to use Alt-S to pull up the search menu and then left or right arrow to select the menu of choice. Opening the macro editor is under the Aut...

Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?
We wouldn't want you to shoot too high and aim to match the functionality of a 10 year old program that stopped development 5 years ago. That would just be excessive.Almost as good as your favorite tool!

Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?
(usually based on the Office ribbon) Yikes, the dreaded ribbon interface. The most despicable "advancement" in GUI development. he could turbocharge it if he implemented a fair portion of the options found in Kirby Alarm Pro. Wishful thinking never hurt. I'm sure Nikos would be more likel...

Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?
It looks like Kirby Alarm is still available ; see www.kirbyfooty.com. I guess his marketing was sufficient.
I also used it ages ago and thought it was great.

Re: beta 3409
Okay, got it now, I guess reading your change description should have been a tip-off.
Tag colours don't appear in x2SettingsEditor.exe, which would be nice if it did. Beats using regedit.
Otherwise, it works nicely.

Re: beta 3409
Is there any way to edit the name as a configuration setting? I typically don't consider files to be: red, green or blue. I have an email program that does the same thing, i.e., nameless categories, and I find that I never remember what colour is supposed to represent what and I end up using random ...

Re: beta 3409
Hmm, am I missing something? Doesn't [P} refer to a Professional feature and [ U] to an Ultimate feature?
Unless I'm blind or the Ultimate features were unmarked, only Professional features were added; sadly, only the Ultimate is offered for beta testing.
Some of these features sound excellent!

frequent crashes (version 3.2.0.1)
I am frequently getting crashes (once or twice a day) with the latest version of xplorer2. The exception that I am getting is: Unhandled exception at 0x0000000000484FEF in xplorer2_64.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x000000000000269F. Often, I am not even using xplorer2 when it c...

I guess it helps if I use the latest key.
Still not sure what the error code -5:-5 is all about, but I guess it doesn't matter.

expired key on new install
I had my computer replaced and now, when I try to activate the version of xplorer2 that I was running before, it claims that the key has expired and suggests that I purchase an upgrade. It also suggests that if I "contact support please quote error code -5:-5". I don't recall reading anywh...

Re: hangs when opening dual bookmark
It is a folder that was deleted. If I recreate the folder, it doesn't hang. I delete the folder and it hangs.
Upgrading to version 2.5 had no effect.

hangs when opening dual bookmark
If I try to open a dual bookmark where one of the folders in the bookmark does not exist, xplorer2 does not respond and must be abruptly terminated.
