first, the default name has no extension, unless you change the registry to set it to something. yes thats what i did. i made it into a txt file. second, even if you set the default name to anything, you can use it only once in a folder. so can it be done? Hi all. I have set new file to create a new text file. Would it be possible to customize the default file name?

Every time I press on New File in my toolbar... New File.txt is created. Id like to know if its possible to make it into MyName.txt for example, as its default file name.

nikos, if you can give users the option to remove the prompt or not, that would be nice. This happens to me a lot too.

I have a windows installation with fax and picture viewer removed. and I only noticed it now when I read this thread. When I click on "pane style", the "Thumbnails" option is grayed out. I dont use the thumbnails view so its ok for me, but maybe this should be mentioned in the ma...

I put Menuhack.exe in the program files folder and it always works. Select all for instance has this >"C:\Program Files\MenuHack.exe" 32787 Should the path of the exe matter? BTW, this hack has saved me a lot of time with work so Id like to thank everyone involved with this. Very nice. :D ...

OK. I just did it and toolbar icons are in correct order. And I think they only messed up because of the bookmarks I had in the toolbar. New computer, new locations of the folders. And I probably should have deleted the sample bookmarks that come along with x2 on a new install before double clicking...

You should use editor2 to read the registry.txt and the tips.
