you got bitten by the automatic wildcard/regexp detection there you can turn off wildcards etc with registry tweaking, search the manual (F1) for binSearchFlags the correct number to add is 0x2000 (hex), not 200 as it says in the manual (I'll fix the typo) for regular expression help (not my strong ...

this is a system folder, type shell:recent in the address bar to go there. You can set a bookmark for quick access

don't expect a drive letter with these gadgets, they have a limited MTP "filesystem"

if the file is too big, xplorer2 doesn't load all of it, so extra hits may exist but you don't see them
you can increase the TEXT PREVIEW SIZE from program options, and then you'll see more of the file and more hits (but wait longer to load them)
