all I can say is that trash works for me and I haven't heard this problem before from anybody else is there anything ELSE special about these items, except for being in deep paths? sometimes things break down at the border, I mean managing items that are in folders just below 256 characters long sor...

nowadays instead of a plus [+] tree nodes have a DOWN arrow next to the icon, click on that to collapse the node
alternatively, press the LEFT arrow key to collapse the selected node

I just tried it with a few deep files and didn't see any issues
note that "plain" delete doesn't work in deep paths, but TRASH does work.
the keyboard shortcut is CTRL+SHIFT+DEL from a scrap window, or add the TRASH button on the toolbar

it sounds simple but sadly it can't be fixed because xplorer2 in general doesn't save "empty" strings in the history list
you could SAVE the set of parameters and that should be remembered

ps. Actually it DOES remember empty strings too (I just tested), do you have the latest version 5.3?

if you have save settings on exit enabled, then the last checkboxes you used for duplicates will be remembered

did you try pressing DEL key on a dead tree link?

probably you have disabled xplorer2 menu in context menus, that's why it won't show
use TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS to bring it back

color tags are manually assigned, but you can do the reverse (use color tags as rules)

where it is, it's very difficult to press ESC by accident!?

any comments (positive or negative) about the new editor2 (v2.99) window dimming when you open any dialog box?

the main page has a button to MARK FORUMS READ, but the reverse action you want is not available

what is read/unread depends on what YOU have already read or not. I don't see any way to mark a post that you've already browsed as "unread"

I'll tell you in a few years if there are any subconscious effects
