You're entitled to your opinion -- I like it, personally.
I could post you a screenshot on Vista, but I don't use Aero, so it doesn't make sense to you, I presume.
Yeah, pretty much.

Would someone be willing to post what 1.8 looks like on Win7/Vista? Before I stopped using xplorer^2, one big issue i had was that the interface integrated terribly to win7/vista's aero

not much -- the statement of concern is mostly from heritage habit of old f@rts (like me) who recall how dear memory used to be.   But Mbytes are so cheap now that it's usually more effective to not worry about it (unless your system is memory-starved for the way you use it).  Best thing is to just...

fgagnon wrote:as mentioned in the ref topic -- you can use the /P commandline option to open a separate instance of x2 (it comes up on top).

see the user guide for more on using command line options.
I noticed that. How much more resources does it take? I don't want to bog my system down with it.

Please see this topic , et seq... Thanks for the prompt reply.  I was going to use the precompiled AutoIT executables from here , but the links are no longer active :( In all likelihood, if there's a way to further customize keyboard shortcuts as mentioned before so that i can use ctrl+tab and ctrl...

I'd been wondering someting for a while...

If I already have 1 or more instances of xplorer2 open, and open another, it will always open in the background instead of the foreground. is there any way to fix that?

there is a limitation of this system control x2 uses to register hotkeys. It won't allow TAB, SPACE, ESC and RETURN as hotkeys (or any combinations). Another big idea from m$ Out of curiosity, what system does it use, exactly? I didn't, upon first glance anyway, see anything in the usual re...

If you'd like to do it more easily, then just grab these two reg files from my server. Feel free to check them in a text editor if you want, but there's nothing bad in them. Assuming you're using the default installation path (C:\Program Files\zabkat\xplorer2\), then you just need to use the 'set xp...

Re: cannot bind tab

I'm trying to bind 33039 (switch to previous tab view) to Ctrl + Shift + Tab, much like Firefox. However, hitting Tab changes the focus to the current keys box instead of inserting Tab into the "Press new shortcut" box. I've already bound Ctrl+T/Ctrl+W to open tab/close tab and its very c...
