xplorer2 requires extra clicks when moving or copying

When moving or copying items from one place to another! xplorer2 Professional needs 2 clicks more than Windows Explorer. When you highlight an item and click Move To or Copy To from the toolbar! Windows Explorer brings up the Directory Tree right away. From the Directory Tree you highlight the folde...

Recent File questions

Is there an option to control how many recent files will be saved in the Recent File list under File?

Is there a way to delete the Recent File list?

Thanks

Thanks Nikos;

If you want to make the change in future version it would be fine.

It's not a big deal, I just always forget to add txt to the end of the file name.

I was really just wondering if it is an option already.

Thanks, Wade

Hi Nikos; Is ther a way to make Editor2 Unicode save files with a txt extension as a default? If I create a text file named "Test" and want to save it, I have to type "Test.txt" instead of just "Test". I have Editor2 associated with text files in Windows XP's Folder Opt...

I agree with mhenry1384.
He has a very good idea.
If the thumbnail feature can be done it would be great.
I would have no use for Windows Explorer either.

Thanks, Wade

I use WinRAR as my Zip program. When I click on a zip file in 2X it opens the items in a column within 2X. I actually have the WinXP Zip functionality turned off in my system. Is there a way to disable that feature in 2X so WinRAR opens when I click a zip file? No offense I get messed sometimes up b...

Don’t mind me Nikos.

I became security conscious after my computer was trashed by a virus in the form of an optical illusion from a joke site.

I’m wondering what the history items are.

If I click on a movie will 2X save the movie name somewhere?

Thanks, Wade

Hi Nikos;

Under View > Options there is a section for History Items Maintained.

Does 2X save History Items?
Where are they saved?
Can you delete them?

Thanks, Wade

It's not important.

I was just playing with the feature and wanted it to be a wiping program that wipes to DOD specifications and also wipes free space.

Thanks for the reply nikos, I was just thinking out loud.

I found this in Help > Features.
Shredding completely destroys files by deleting them after first overwriting their contents with 0s.

The Shredding feature is a nice addition to 2xExplorer.
Maybe you can enhance it so it can overwrite more than once.

Thanks

Hello everybody;

I’m looking for some information about the Shred feature of 2xExplorer.
I can’t find it in the Help section.
Could someone please point me to it?

Thanks
