Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?

I did say I was NOT holding my breath. However, if you intend adding a backing up option via macros, I hope it is easier to program than the past user commands. KAP's backup option couldn't be simpler: you just browse your PC to find what you want included in your backup, then browse to show where y...

Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?

I'm sure Nikos would be more likely to implement them if you spelled out specific features that would be easy to implement and would look good on the marketing brochure. But, don't hold your breath. I'm certainly not holding my breath but the specific features I would like to see added to x2 are AL...

Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?

Indeed, the site is still up and the product is available to purchase but Ian gave up development in 2012. At the time he said it was because he was unable to sell enough although I had difficulty understanding why other than zero investment in marketing. In fact, he has a flurry of competition all ...

Re: Copy To / Move To not working in Win 10

So it is not working again as I thought. In fact, the problem appears to be limited to one specific external drive. I can't even create a new folder on it. Windows just gives a warning sound and refuses the creation of a folder. The drive's security permissions are set to full control for ALL types ...

Re: xplorer2 half price sale today

That would have been useful had you not kept it a secret. A mail to existing customers never hurts.
Oh well, I will just have to wait until the next time you run such an offer. For now I'll stick with v2.5.0.4 as it almost does everything I need it to.

Most strange! It appears to be working now. I will get back to you if it happens again Nikos.

Copy To / Move To not working in Win 10

I'm using x2 v2.5.0.4. These two robust functions work perfectly in Win 7 but Win 10 refuses them.
I am however able to copy and paste from one pane to the other.

Is there some Windows tweak I can implement that will allow me to use the Copy and Move To functions please?

Re: Is it possible to access HomeGroup in Xplorer2 Pro?

Believe me Nikos, I have tried several Google searches and come up with some good stuff, perhaps the best of which was this . Unfortunately, nothing seems to solve the problem and nobody gives any hint as to where this so-called user name comes from. Well I'll just sit on this in the hope that someo...

Re: Is it possible to access HomeGroup in Xplorer2 Pro?

I never use Windows Explorer but I'm sure it does because my home cinema is also connected by LAN to these 2 laptops. It has no problem viewing content on my Win 7 based laptop but on the Win 10 version I get asked for a user name and password and nothing seems to work.

Re: Is it possible to access HomeGroup in Xplorer2 Pro?

I've got a problem and I have no idea how to solve it. Maybe someone here knows the answer... I have connected my previous laptop to my new laptop via LAN. Instantly, the 2 appear in x2 under the Network. I have setup a Homegroup and the 2 can see each other but Windows gives me only a Homegroup pas...

Re: Are custom macros possible in x2?

@ nikos Looks good although I often wonder why it is necessary to make configuring such items so complicated? I'm sure it is very simple for anyone with slight programming knowledge but for old farts like myself, button pressing is the ideal solution. @ Kilmatead Fantastic reply! Some very good info...

Re: How to add start external program from menu?

One of my main annoyances with Windows 10 is that is seems to reset the file associations from time to time and it will present the open with dialog even though I have already chosen default programs. Same thing happens to me. Dell tech support suggested I had corrupted Windows somehow and should d...

Are custom macros possible in x2?

This is probably a very silly question which comes from my almost total ignorance with file managers so please excuse me if it is pure nonsense. What I want to know is if there is any way I can setup a custom macro that will backup my Outlook mail folder to an external drive automatically at a given...

Not on my machine they don't. See the screenshot for proof.
