I recently was forced to buy a new system by a hardware failure, and am running W7, 64bit. Ninotech Copy Path was very useful to me previously. If you use Revo Uninstaller http://www.revouninstaller.com/, you can use its detail view and list your programs in reverse install order, which is easier than keeping a log. However it does not deal with programs that don't install but still write to registry.
