Re: migrate virtual machines

I believe in having the best tools to do my work, it is what brings in the money at the end of the day and it's an investment that pays itself back anyway. Can't really compare that to owning a sports car :) If driving all day would be my job I would have a nice car for sure ... now I drive a 16 yrs...

Re: migrate virtual machines

Thanks Nikos, Is this your main development machine ? I'm surprised you don't use 17 inch for the day to day work ? Also I would go for a more powerful machine for my everyday work, and two HDDs. An SSD and a regular HDD. I automatically sync my important files (code etc.) between a partition on the...

Re: migrate virtual machines

Hey Nikos, Long time. I use VirtualBox as well and it serves me well. Up till now I have been using the *.vmdk format with VirtualBox, without issues I might add. The reason being that IsoBuster opens *.vmdk files, so it's great for development and testing as well, not to mention an easy way to peek...

Re: blog: whatever next for europe? [politics]

10 million people in Greece. The professional population is 5 million (which is very low, it should be more towards 7 million) 800.000 of those 5 million are civil servants !! Do you understand why the rest of Europe is tired of paying Greece ? An ultra left government is never going to want to chan...

Re: blog: whatever next for europe? [politics]

And I completely forgot to mention that Greece now can't devaluate its currency anymore, like you were able to do before the Euro. Which was always a great tool for Southern Europe. Devaluate when in trouble, get the rest of Europe to come vacation there (relatively cheap) and ... problem solved.

Re: blog: whatever next for europe? [politics]

My good friend Nikos, So many things flashed through my head when I read this earlier today, many things I probably now forget to mention and some that I shouldn't mention here, but a few thoughts: As a general rule I think most of Europe feels for the Greeks. Honestly. That includes the Germans. PS...
