You can also try AutoIt ( http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/ ). I used to use Autohotkey but I have switched to AutoIt recently.

The problem from the rich@pottruff´s original message could also be solved manually. 1. Flatten the folder where the "a" files reside (including subfolders). The scrap container appears. 2. Arrange the files by Extension. 3. Select the files without extension, invert the selection (* key), remove (F...

I have to say, the ability to flag certain files could be useful. Not only for knowing which video to watch but also for knowing which file is already backed up (when doing manual off-site backup of certain important files - which is my case). Anyway the simple solution could be creating a .txt file...

Sorry for the rash question.  I have gotten it to work. The key was to delete the additional rule (a text) from the column "Named:" located in the "Group membership rule" option box. When I used only Additional rules > Path [S] > Find:+color it started to behave like expected. It is a good way to so...

Custom group based on a phrase included in a certain path

Hello, I would like to ask you for advice. I want items in the Mini scrap to be grouped according to specific rule - if the item (folder or file) contains certain text phrase in its path it should be grouped under defined group. I have tried Path [S] as rule definition and typed the desired phrase i...

After some further testing - no, this is not 100% solution but when I add nikos´ tip (reload a file using F5) it helps to get rid of the inconsistency. For now.

I think I found a solution after all. I have changed the font to Calibri and everything seems to be working fine. See the tests: http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b150/raptor3D/xplorer2/e2_fonts01.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b150/raptor3D/xplorer2/e2_fonts02.jpg MS Sans Serif: http://i18.p...

Well it seems that the prolem appears when I switch the keyboard from CS (Czech) to EN (English). After the switch (even when I won´t write anything and switch back to CS) the font get adjusted and from this space and time everything is rendered with different font. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums...

Thanks for replies nikos and fgagnon. Nevertheless I have tried almost everything before to get rid of this problem - to save the file as Unicode/UTF-8/OEM type; to toggle the proportional and fixed fonts; to refresh the file; to toggle the word wrap, ... . Sometimes it works and the font get consis...

Inconsistent font within editor2

Hello, I have been experiencing a problem with editor2. Sometimes the font becomes inconsistent. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b150/raptor3D/xplorer2/editor2_inconsistent_text.jpg In other case even the parts of a single word are composed from two various fonts (that seem to differ in size). It ...

I also support the idea of modern/nicer and more distinct tabs. The best option would be if the applied skins could affect the tabs (the tabs would be skinable along with other elements of the program).

Re: Mini scrap, scraps and aliases feature requests

not quite, you just save the modified folder group with the same name ("overwrite") Thanks. It sounds better. This is correct: as long as the alias name is the same as part of the folder path, x2 will show child folders as possible results. The trick here is to create a unique alias name; then x2 w...

nikos: Thanks for reply. do you know that mini scraps have a recent document history list? Right click and see. From there you can quickly swap to different CIDA files and so different items shown in the mini scrap. I'm sure you can assign shortcut keys for these too Shortcut keys sounds a little bi...

Mini scrap, scraps and aliases feature requests

Hi, I would like to share some of my thoughts and feature requests regarding x2. I have tried several well known file managers and I have to say x2 is one of the best and one of the most intuitive and straightforward. My workflow is very fast with it. However it could be even better :). Mini scrap, ...
