Wrong remaining disk size

I put in a memory card, browsed to its root directory, and deleted some files.  The size-available on the status bar didn't change.  On further inspection, it was noticed to be totally wrong. The "free" function on the 4NT command line gives the right answer, so the problem isn't the Win32...

You might try software for sending WM_COMMAND messages or keystrokes to the application.

Lost User Commands and Bookmarks

My computer crashed, and upon restarting and using xplorer2 again I see that all my bookmarks are gone.  I'm thinking it only saves them on a normal program exit, not right away when made?! But, the User Command I talked about earlier is missing too.  Where did it go?  That had been saved successful...

Why would it do that?

if Help | About says "unregistered" then it's very weird indeed a Dr Watson's log could help if you can get it We've been through this before, when I installed on my work machine.  JIT Debugging was not invoked.  Otherwise, it would have asked me which debugger to use, rather than just di...

No key.  Just trial.
It's not done it since I.  Perhaps it is tied to invoking User Commands or some other operation.

Try try again

I took some work home with me, and to help arrange files I installed xplorer² (Unicode) as well. I have a problem where the process keeps vanishing.  The first time, I thought it was because I closed one main window -- I mentioned that before.  But it happened many times since. Thinking about it, I ...

I think I see what you are getting at.  I'll play around with it some more.

FWIW, I have it set to single, not dual, pane.

But, now that I think about it, clicking on the tree will change directories in the primary pane.  That is not ambiguous.

Re: Mass Rename

How to perform mass rename from *run.* to *data.* using "token"? For example, Streets & Trips run.jpg  -> Streets & Trips data.jpg Streets & Trips run.dat  -> Streets & Trips data.dat Streets & Trips run.doc -> Streets & Trips data.doc Streets & Trips run.xls  ...

"Back" button bug

When I click a directory in the tree view, the "Back" button goes dark.  If I use other means of navigation, it comes back and still has the history.  So why is it being grayed out?

the folder icon in the titlebar is a stooge as you've discovered as an alternative drag any item from the folder and then edit the path to leave just the folder name That's not nice, esp. if there are quotes around it. Remember your motto, "...without leaving home."  Compatibility with Ex...

Some years ago, when localizing a program in 8 languages, I found that the Japanese font was taller . Did it perhaps just seem taller, since there are no ascenders or descenders in either of the Japanese scripts? No, the dialog box came up with a different aspect ratio, even without changing the re...

Can't drag current directory icon

I tried to drag the folder icon for the current directory onto a Console window, and it did not drag.  I do that all the time in Windows Explorer, mainly to change directory in my command window shell to match what I'm looking at in the GUI shell. The icon in question is in the "pane header&quo...

Off the top of my head I cannot think of any common UI font that runs wider than Verdana. Thus you will not have any problems with text overflow. Some years ago, when localizing a program in 8 languages, I found that the Japanese font was taller .  Fine for "dialog units", but messed up i...
