Interesting.

Was there a marked decline in sales after the key was compromised?

Suggestion: Slider control for tweaking thumbnail size

... present on the main program interface so we can optimally set the thumbnail sizes for a given scenario. Perhaps even a "Fit all" button that has X2 try and fit all thumbs in the current window (there can be a minimum/practical cutoff size below which it won't resize the thumbs). What d...

Just a quick verdict on the two renaming utilities. I really like File Renamer Turbo: It has two big advantages over ReNamer: Way better shell integration: files can be sent to existing profiles straight from the context menu. When clicking on a rule within the app, the settings for that rule appear...

Haha! Nice! We could have a pigeon sh1t on that and I wouldn't know the difference!

The rename utility thread is quite entertaining (and pertinent) - ReNamer seems the most popular with the crowd here!

One caveat with ReNamer - do not use the token with the /enqueue command, as they don't play well together. Nice to know. I didn't know about the command line args available for Renamer until you mentioned them. I could swear I searched for just that when I was troubleshooting this issue and came u...

Guessed as much... the command I used didn't seem to have the max char limitations but I've replaced it with the one you listed. Thanks. You too, INeedHelp. :)

I've been using "Renamer" for years for advanced rename operations. Passing files from X2 via the "send to" shortcut has its limitations (can't pass more than x no. of files, depending on path lengths) After a trial and error session a while back I settled on the following comman...

And here's my apology if I came across as one of those brash over-demanding users (whom I personally loathe). BTW, if that's all that's holding the dev. of the renaming functionality back, then all you have to do is ask. There are a lot of great minds here (self excluded :P ) who could possibly come...

like, say, total commander? :P
who said that thing about chainsaws not needing lace?
To the point, as always.

Now name a file manager with renaming functionality more primitive than that of X2 and shut me (and anyone who's ever demanded an improvement there) up, forever. :)

As Nikos has mentioned before, there are many many free 3rd-party dedicated Rename facilitators Because renaming is an integral part of file management. Because it's something used so frequently, it's far more convenient to rename files using the app that's already open than to run a 3rd party app,...

Suppressing the context menus could already be achieved (easily) using a freeware alternative, I pointed this out in another thread. The software "Hace MMM" also lets you control long unwieldy context menus so it actually makes sense to have it on your system, its purpose wouldn't just be ...

Locked tabs

I think the locked tabs feature could use a little streamlining. X2 currently permits the closing of the opposite pane (ctrl+o), even if it has locked tabs. IMO, this defeats the purpose of locking/protecting a tab. It would be nice if X2 gave a warning when a locked tab was being closed, irrespecti...

You can turn it off using a free 3rd party tool.

Is there a way to disable the "Apply the same folder settings for all subfolders" prompt that pops up on saving a folder's settings? At best, it's an extra button to press, at worst it could potentially end up nullifying 100s of folder customizations in a flash! :(
