Re: blog: dark window theme

Yup - which is why I know it would require such a massive rewrite for you.

Which provides a nice segue into my next question: Any (even remote) possibility of Xploerer² ever becoming a UWP app?

Re: blog: dark window theme

I've been a fan of dark modes of reading for a much, much longer time. As in the days of the online dialup BBSs - the nice dark screens. If there was a way to allow X2 to simply follow the native settings for the OS, that would be fantastic - but I suspect that requires more of a re-write of the cod...

Re: hard links - info about other hard links to same files?

There's also a great little utility by Nir Sofer that accomplishes the same - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/ntfs_links_view.html

Re: Trying to use/access cloud storage through xplorer² 4.2.0.1

*can* install - I usually bypass their methods and use my own methods.

I was just clarifying that for users like me who don't need another (semi-useless) app cluttering up the RAM by always running in the bg....

Re: hard links - info about other hard links to same files?

Another vote for Link Shell Extension - not only does it add extra info to the link properties, it makes actually creating links / junctions etc. much easier from directly in Explorer - and works extremely well when used from inside Xplorer² as well.

Re: Trying to use/access cloud storage through xplorer² 4.2.0.1

So, you need to have the respective app to synchronize the cloud(s) to your machine first, and then access each of the respective folderS?

Re: blog: add annotations to PDF books

I am * soooooo * glad they are bringing this to Sumatra. When I went back to school in 2008, one of the things I got as a part of enrollment was access to the school's software licensing program. I was given access to several things, like Office suite, etc. but as a student, I was also able to purch...

Re: blog: show JPG on map where it was taken

The Backup & Sync tool (formerly just called Google Drive for Windows) for non Enterprise accounts, and Drive File Stream for Enterprise accounts.

And once you have it set up, the files / folders you sync from cloud to computer are accessible via Xplorer².

Re: blog: show JPG on map where it was taken

@Nikos - would there be a way to allow direct importation into Google Drive? No, wait, that would require adding access to their API, which would then (possibly) throw up security warnings for users because a so-called "unknown" app had access to Drive (currently dealing with that with KeePass2Andro...

Re: blog: show JPG on map where it was taken

Indeed. I tried using the upload function, with several .jpg and jpeg pictures from 2 different cell phones I have owned, which were backup up to my computer, and I continued to receive the following message: Conversion from this document type is not supported. Supported file extensions are: csv, ts...

Re: blog: show JPG on map where it was taken

Hello Thank you Nikos for this little utility very interesting. I have a suggestion to improve this utility. Since it is not possible to save a trace in google maps, I use My maps. This allows me to save my route and send it to friends. If in addition, I could decorate it with photos, it would be g...
