Re: x2 hangs if bookmark target is a USB that is removed

I restarted the home PC, and now x2 behaves as expected.

Thanks.

Re: x2 hangs if bookmark target is a USB that is removed

Indeed I checked on my office PC and it works as expected.
(if I remove the USB, it loads just the HDD folder and for the opposite pane says "cannot make sense of the input")
This is fine.

Will check the PC at home again.

Thanks!

x2 hangs if bookmark target is a USB that is removed

I have set up a dual bookmark in which one side there is a USB folder, and the other side I have mirror folder on HDD. The idea is to plug in the USB and then load both folders quickly and sync them with F9. If I use the command when the USB is not plugged in, x2 should show desktop and quickly end ...

Re: How to know what a global hotkey (keyboard shortcut) doe

I used the hotkey explorer, and found that not only the key 0, but many many more hotkeys are reserved by a single target: "Windows Explorer (taskbar)" (Most of Win key combos are also reserved by the same application.) I feel I am very close to a solution! But how to edit the settings for...

Re: How to know what a global hotkey (keyboard shortcut) doe

Thanks, K~! My office firewall considers that site as "games" and blocks it, but I'll know tonight at home. yesterday I found that Activehotkeys at least gives the active shortcuts. I used Process Explorer to kill all known programs one by one, and kept refreshing the activehotkey display....

Re: How to know what a global hotkey (keyboard shortcut) doe

Yeah, I realized that at office when I tried it out: It only has very few Windows-level shortcuts (not the ones used by any of the software). :( Even if I know which software it triggers, I can at least uninstall it. It must be something I installed recently, or something that came as a bundled soft...

Re: How to know what a global hotkey (keyboard shortcut) doe

P.S. Just after posting that last message, I came across a possible solution: http://www.skynergy.com/hotkeyz_portable.html Unlike the ActiveKeys, this author has managed to find the associated application also (see left column). It will be a few hours till I go home and try it on my home PC (where ...

How to know what a global hotkey (keyboard shortcut) does?

Hi! I am back after a long time! :) I am facing a strange issue: My 0 key (in the top row, not in numpad) is intercepted by some application. If I press that key, the currently running program (e.g. calculator, Excel, Word, ....) will simply wait, or exit the mode. For example, if I am editing a fil...

Yes, the next version is due. That said, the manual is optimized as an e-book: All links are implied (not explicitly spelled out); and there is no index, because it relies on electronic search for any term you want (just press CTRL+F in the pdf reader). So if you take a print, you will find it diffi...

I always have the tree pane on, and x2 is always on for almost 24 hours.
No crashes whatsoever (using x2 PRO on Win7 Professional, and Win 7 Ultimate).

I forgot to mention two Usability-related needs- In a RegEx name change, there are some special circumstances that the application has to handle: 1. Not all selected match the RegEx pattern. Therefore the GUI must indicate which files have matched, (e.g. by showing a tick against the name). Secondly...

I leave scripting and programming to the programmers. Even a virtuoso will never venture into setting of the frets (or bridge). He will only tune the instrument. Some techniques belong to the kitchen (tempering, basting, cutting, paring, boiling, frying, steaming) and others belong to the dining tab...
