Re: Displaying custom columns based on content type
Thanks Nikos, you're fantastic! I got it. Too bad I don't see a "mark as solution" button here in this forum

Displaying custom columns based on content type
I believe this has been asked already, but the results of my search were not promising. I'm still at version 2.5.0.4; I'm eager to upgrade, but right now my currency is unfavourable to the dollar. So, in my version, can I create custom columns, for the detailed view, based on the current folder? Exa...

Re: Can't create a user command to move a file
you cannot run a dos command outside a console window. Try the xcopy command instead (use xcopy -? for its options or google it) Thanks Nikos! This worked... > xcopy /c /y /e /i C:\Users\me\Desktop\*list.txt $R BUT... by looking at its options, I see it only copies; doesn't move. So I thought of co...

Re: Can't create a user command to move a file
It seems likely that you mean to execute the DOS move command to move the file from one place to another. If so, the command should be prefixed with "$" rather than ">". ">" is for windows commands; "$" is for DOS commands. On my system the (example) command ...

Can't create a user command to move a file
Hi, one of my tasks involved creating a list.txt file on my Desktop. This files is then moved to my current working directory, but I always have to do it by hand. I'm trying to create a custom user command to move it with one call or set of keys, but I'm encountering difficulties: > move C:\Users\me...

Because the F7 and F8 keys are quite handy, and I'm used to them for the tasks

Suggestion upon creating new folders and files
Hello all! Just a small suggestion: I frequently use the F4-F8 keys to move or copy files and folders and to refresh the page (yes, I reassigned the keyboard shortcut from Ctrl+R to F5). So it is easy to accidentaly hit F7 or F8, which creates a new file or folder. Let's say I create a folder accide...

Re: Overwide frame at the left
A relevant bump:
I'm back on Windows 8.1. This still happens. I think it is related to lauching metro apps.

Re: Overwide frame at the left
Thanks anyway Nikos.
What about being able to assign a regular keyboard shortcut to the layout instead of only a number with Ctrl+Alt+Shift?

Re: Overwide frame at the left
Sorry for the several-months bump but it got a relevant follow-up question: The problem is still alive, and now I'm rollbacked to Windows 7. Many times when I launch x2 I see the disproportional column spacing. So I manually corrected with mousedrags on the frames and saved the layout. When I go to ...

Re: Another WinRAR command question
When in doubt, deactivate everything in your tray menu and see if it still reoccurs (and I do mean everything - even things you "trust"). Using the @$> method in your user-commands "may" work, but that would only be masking whatever the underlying broader cause of the pr...
