Re: man at work again

You can't have the cake and eat it
Well I can't force you to change it... so I'll have to stare at the cake and dream (maybe x2 4.0).

Changed to CTRL+Space as you recommended. Thanks!

Re: man at work again

Kilmatead, The quick visual filter (CTRL+H) without the rules, etc as far as I can tell doesn't include the folders. Tested on 3.1.02 and a couple versions as far back as 2.0.0.0 (I have a couple of virtual machines that revert on shutdown and haven't updated these in a long while). Didn't think of ...

Re: man at work again

So, if I want to type space and still have the filename - I remove the space bar from the command. Now, when I want to use space bar to select items, I have to reassign space bar back to the command. Is there a way to macro to toggle that setting? With #2, how do I specify include folders when doing...

Re: man at work again

Nikos, Not sure if either of these are easy or not for you to implement in either the pro\ult versions. 1. Add an option that toggles the use of the space bar as the selection function (cmd 32823). The space bar rocks for processing alot of items with the space bar while sticky is turned on; but the...

Couple of hopefully easy questions

1. I have windows 8.1. I have a network share mapped to a drive. I can see the drive listed in Windows Explorer, but it's not in X2 on the drive bar. Any ideas on what to try? 2. Is there any way when doing file copies using "copy to" screen to have the Use Queue option default to checked?...

Re: explorer replacement question on 2.5

I figured out what I did wrong. I had installed ultimate x64 instead of pro x64. Upon installing the correct version on my box for the reg key, the "There was a problem sending the command to the program." errors stopped. The same type of error was displayed when attempting to open items i...

Re: explorer replacement question on 2.5

Roger Nikos. Opens in a sep window now.

When using this method, I get an error "There was a problem sending the command to the program".

explorer replacement question on 2.5

Is it possible when typing a path in the run window, that x2 opens the location in the instance already running (instead of creating a new instance of x2)? Just wanted to know if that was possible.. Thanks.

Change request for robust delete and copy

Lots of good posts here. I do alot of copying and deleting of files from network servers, SANs, and my local box. For example, if I'm deleting alot of files, I use the robust delete so my box doesn't get bogged down (which works great btw). The trade off is that sometimes it takes a very long time f...

It's Friday!

Ok, on a serious note. When I do a search for files or a search for content within files, the search seems to drag performance down on the main application. For example, just going to the root dir of C: and do a search for *.* (just using as an example) the main window is very slow to respond. If I ...

Some general comments on the new version and a couple ?s

I haven't upgraded X2 in a long while (1.7). Absolutely love the drag and drop tabs. Copying speed seems faster for me. The "Confirm Delete" dialog and options are slick. Very stable in Win7. Questions: 1. With compressed folders, is it possible to get the folder/file names to be displayed...

This appears to be happening. Create an empty directory structure w/ several nested folders. Copy the entire structure to another place on the drive (so we have matching structs) At the deepest level of the directory struct 1, create a test file (only do this to one struct). Using xployer, select th...
