Re: Commandline invoke X2 to open a specific folder in each pane even when active instance running
So it sounds like the /2 option would work regardless given the behavior I'm seeing and the configuration I have (same instance).

Commandline invoke X2 to open a specific folder in each pane even when active instance running
I'm trying to make shortcuts to open xPlorer2 or activate a running instance and open up one folder in the left and one in the right. It seems to work fine if I invoke the executable with a left folder and right folder path and there is no xPlorer2 instance running. But when I do the same thing when...

Re: Run AHK from within elevated X2 doesn't work; run standalone and works
Generic, launched by caling autohotkey.exe through MENU++ though I've also tried launching it as a standalone User Command (autohotkey.exe c:\scriptpath\script.ahk) It stops at the file loop before it goes in, apparently. I know it doesn't work because the files aren't changed/renamed when run via X...

Run AHK from within elevated X2 doesn't work; run standalone and works
Running an AHK script as a User Command in XPlorer2 that just does some simple file loops and the loops don't run when invoked from an elevated xPlorer2. Procexp shows the script running as High integrity. When I run the script outside of XPlorer2, script shows again as High integrity (elevated) and...

Re: win10, they just don't get it
Now, when I actually have the budget to purchase software, I am unable to get a version of Windows 10 that is truly "professional" without unwanted ads and programs. That version would be Enterprise, and you can't buy that retail. Windows 10 Pro is now borderline non-compliant for confiden...

Quick Viewer almost always slower than straight explorer
Running 2.4.0.1 [Unicode] x64 11/12/2013 on Windows 7 64-bit, peppy SSD and all. Why the older version? At the time the only compelling reason to upgrade was some variation of search that used the dreadful Windows Search Indexing Service, which I've done as much as I can to remove. In any case, I've...

Re: Option to hide files of certain ext ?
I would also like this feature. The filters are great, but I'd prefer to hide files as an xplorer2 setting that happens outside of the filters. For example, in Visual Studio I have pdb and various supplemental files that I don't care about. But I use filters to hone in on dlls and other files by nam...

Re: SOLVED: "Sharing Violation" copy/paste file in same fold
I guess the wording confused me. "Robust" is one of those weird words like "moist."

SOLVED: "Sharing Violation" copy/paste file in same folder
On a new install of X2 (2.3.0.1 [Unicode] x64 3/8/2013), I was having issues with files in a pane when pressing control-c, then control-v to make a copy of a file. Process Monitor showed "Sharing Violation" This may be obvious to everyone else, but I did a registry compare against my other...

Symlinks?
Actually, they're great for backing up folders that aren't physically in a Dropbox folder via Dropbox.

Video Screencast?
There should be a brief screencast or text about what is new with 2.3. Possibly with a sexy female voice narrating. That promises more than will be delivered, but we don't care.

RAR/WINRAR M or A -DF fail with $S
If I try to pass $S into winrar with "a -df" (add and delete files) or "m" (archive and delete files), depending on the order that X2 sends the files in as parameters, the archiving fails with "Directory is Not Empty" sometimes. In other words, WinRAR receives the list ...

Tiered liftetime upgrades?
A lot of products clearly separate "lifetime upgrades" to mean the lifetime of a particular major product version. So - if you bought xPLorer2 2.0 + upgrades you'd get them until 3.0 came out. Or just stop saying "lifetime," because that seems counterproductive to Nikos to making...

The myth of the ordinary user
The ordinary user probably just uses Windows Explorer, or if he's heady with the idea of "freeware," he's loaded up XYPlorer or some other tempting yet ultimately useless piece of garbage. xPlorer2 isn't going to be recommended in any Dummies books any time soon. In the old days, we'd do c...
