Thanks to all for your explanations. I have learned something new. That's correct, I was looking for a way to compare MS office files directly from X2. WinMerge, seems to do the trick with doc/xls docs :D

If you want to use windiff you need to install it. (The demo assumes windiff has already been installed.) Hello fgagnon and thank you! I have downloaded the .exe but I don't know where to locate it? does it have to be in the x2 folder in the program files? In the video there is only the argument >w...

I would like to see a Mass Rename, like the one of TotalCommander, implemented in X2. It makes what you want to accomplish easily thanks to its graphical interface. Maybe you could try it if you did not find a better solution. Hello Wepver, I am very please with X2, so there is litte chances I chan...

Re: Questions about ADS & Bundle Functions & streams
Windows Explorer however uses this information in the same places as it uses streams. That makes sense now. What about video files? I did by trial and it seems that .wmv (comments are embedded. They remains even on a Fat32 volume) but not with .mpeg and not with .flv? Purpose: I want to know exactl...

Okay! I was trying to find some naming conventions or rules to separate strings in the file names and in the comments (instead of killing the flies). not too good: dot = file extension separators (sometimes confusing when I use an app like renamer) underbar = good with short names (like DOS) but mak...

You mean to say that the user command puts all file formats into the Renamer, except for .mht files? That would be weird. That what I meant, but I have only tested this command with a few file extensions (.pdf, .xps, .doc and .mht) that did not work with the .mht files. However it is still very han...
