Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
I though it was just dead brain cells causing that option to be unfamiliar. Odd that it didn't work after install even though that option was checked by default, I had to clear and close then set and close to make Open with WinRAR appear. Still doesn't give me Open with WinRAR for unusual archives I...

Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
I'll give 521 a run and see if it changes the context menus, although from memory it has been this way for some versions (4 something I think). I have never bothered with icons for context menus, but will look at some others and add that as well. My problem with Open with is it always defaults to re...

Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
That's odd, my WinRAR context menu doesn't include Open with WinRAR normally: Screenshot - 24_06_2015 , 18_11_03.png The Open in WinRar option is only there because I added it to the sevenzipfile class myself: Screenshot - 24_06_2015 , 18_07_16.png Without that extra shell handler I only get the Ope...

Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
Doesn't anyone use the WinRAR options themselves? It's got ridiculously extensive (read: "too many") options for managing its own context menu entries built in. Unless, of course, you don't use WinRAR as the associated archive programme... that might cause weirdness... in any event FileMe...

Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
As usual, a font of knowledge, Kilmatead. I now remember seeing the X2 context menu in passing a while ago, that works, and will be fine for something that won't be used often. I may also be able to use this to replace some ugly registry class shell command scraps I use to get utilities and shortcut...

Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
I don't expect anyone to use these things, but "just in case" you're bored and "want it now", I made this one just for fun. Source-code (AutoIt) included, of course. Thanks for the instant gratification Kilmatead. For bonus points, is there an easy way to add the command ...

Re: Feature suggestion - Window Administrator
I swear I spent ages testing the output of > "%x2dir%Xplorer2Admin.exe" "$L" "$R" and it only ever worked when I was starting from the x2dir folder (where I had my exe to relaunch as admin). I captured and output the command parameters of > "%x2dir%Xplorer2Admin.ex...

Re: Feature suggestion - Window Administrator
Thanks, that works, and I have an equivalent AHK exe I created. However I want to be able to use the same command with both installed X2 at C:\Program Files\zabkat\Xplorer2_UC and portable at X:\Portable Apps\Xplorer2. When I try to use the x2dir env variable, it isn't available when using > with an...

Re: Feature suggestion - Window Administrator
I would rather not do it that way, I have Save settings on exit off specifically so when I open X2 it starts at the same place each time.nikos wrote:you can first do ACTIONS > SAVE SETTINGS NOW then launch the admin window. I'll see if that can be done automatically
Cheers

Re: Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
Dual bookmark will work fine for switching between the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders, but not subfolders. When I am in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE14 and want to switch to C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OFFICE14 I have to use bookmark fo...

Feature suggestion - Program Files (x86) toggle
Could you add a command to toggle the current path between Program Files and Program Files (x86) while maintaining the rest of the folder tree? I often need to switch between the 2 branches when checking x86/x64 installed apps. I know most subfolders only exist under one or the other, but there are ...

Feature suggestion - Window Administrator
When using the Window, Administrator menu selection, can the new instance open the active and inactive panes to the current folders please. Currently (3.0.0.4 ULT), the active pane is remembered, but the inactive pane changes to the default second pane folder (what comes up when X2 is first opened)....

Re: Xplorer2 confirmation before UAC
Thanks Nikos. I understand the requirement to run as admin which triggers the UAC prompt. What I am looking for is a way to disable the confirmation of this action, which seems to be an Xplorer2 dialog (when I target it in ProcessExplorer it highlights the Xplorer2 process). If it is owned by the Xp...

Xplorer2 confirmation before UAC
When ever I do something in Xplorer2 that requires UAC, I get an Xplorer2 "Folder Access Denied" dialog advising I will need to provide Admin access to do it, when I click yes I then get the UAC prompt. I don't want to turn off UAC, is there a way to disable the Xplorer2 dialog (seems pret...
