Multi-function box - keyboard use

As a keyboard-centric user having to use the mouse to select the Multi-function box bothers me. I have looked through the help to see if there is a keyboard activation for it but not found one. Now I see this forum reply from Nikos saying there isn't one. Mostly I need this when having typed a few c...

Re: Some suggestions for the great new 5 version

as for IE (you said EDGE in the first message), this is the default browser for xplorer2 help files, but if you hate IE use TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS menu command and tick "don't use IE" option (search for "IE" using the lower-left search box in advanced settings dialog) Awesome ...

Re: Mouse peek for Markdown

Yes, they are formatted there. I must admit that I never have used the preview panes as this is the first use I've had for previewing. I was just playing with it and not liking having preview open as another pane inside the main window I tried dragging it out and making it bigger so now I have a lar...

Mouse peek for Markdown

I like the new mouse peek feature but it's a little disappointing that .md (Markdown) files preview as plain text rather than as formatted Markdown. I use short Markdown files to keep notes I need to refer to in a set of TIL (Today I Learned) folders on disk and it would be awesome if I could read t...

Re: Pin to Start Screen

I have the same problem on Windows 8.1 64-bit with Update 1. I don't have Stardock Start8 or any other start menu modifier installed. I think I might be the only person that was always happy with the way the UI changed between Windows 7 and 8. :D I backed a new Windows Explorer alternative called bi...

Re: How to add DigestIT2004 MD5 to x2 context menu?

do you know that xplorer2 has its own MD5 hash column? Use Alt+K I came across this thread when looking for an answer to a problem I have. I've used Alt+K and tried turning on both the Checksum (S) and MD5 Hash columns but in either case the value is not calculated and displayed for all files. Are ...

Since my last reply I have deleted the registry entries, after backing them up. Now with fresh settings the problem seems to have vanished, though I should give it some time to be sure. If it reoccurs I'll try turning off the drive bar.

Experiencing similar problems

Did you ever manage to fix this? I have been experiencing similar problems for a few months now. X2 is extremely unresponsive and just about any action like switching to another folder on same disk or typing to select file in current folder can cause X2 to hang for many seconds. Even trying to scrol...

Thanks longfellow, that's probably even better than the Alt+F1, C used with the drive list.

Windows 7 support?

Are there any known problems under Windows 7? I've been running version 1.6.5.3 happily under Windows XP SP3 but having recently installed the Windows 7 RC I downloaded the latest version 1.7.1.4. The very first function I tried, namely Select Drive (Alt+F1) doesn't work. Whether I press the keyboar...
