where did I say similarity doesn't do videos? In the comparison table, labeled “Information correct as of 7-Feb-2023”. And at any rate if a program does music AND videos, then it's an advantage, no? Not every feature is an advantage per se. My bike can’t cook, it still is a better bike than others....

The xplorer² online help is relatively good with explaining macros, see x2help.htm#pr_macro in your installation. :)

Neither do I, honestly. (I never even liked Xtree.) I used trees a lot in the past, but a few years with several file managers have made me prefer to click through the folders directly.
