Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
@Robert2 Thanks for the suggestion ... I got quite excited, but when I drilled down all I can find in the Windows folder is a folder called Recent Items that has an odd icon (an analogue clockface, part covered by a document, part covered by a 'picture'!) - The folder appears to be empty but the siz...

Re: Editing or replacing the default column list
Hi Nikos
Thanks again for the very quick response ... I hadn't ticked the save settings because the ...'to the registry' part spooked me a bit!
All is working as I'd hoped now!

Editing or replacing the default column list
By playing around I've managed to add a column to the list of columns that appears when I start the programme, but I can't work out how I managed it. :? The new column (length) is listed in the the Default file. I also want to add Extension (which I may had inadvertently taken out) and lose Attribut...

Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
Hi Nikos This is my last post in this thread - I promise :) . Just because I'm interested I had a final attempt at finding out whether I could clear/edit the jumplist. I finally found that there's a very obvious toggle in Windows settings to globally stop the all the taskbar jumplists being populate...

Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
It's oddish; Everything I tried to unfreeze the W10 taskbar jumplist failed ... I just gave up on it. A week or so ago we had a period of unwarned electricity 'outs' in the area. One evening the electricity didn't cut - it just went 'low power' (by which I assume the voltage dropped). It caus...

Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
Despite numerous reboots and opening and closing the program the task list on the taskbar isn't changing. I wonder if anyone else is having a similar issue. I guess I could try uninstalling and reinstalling but since it seems to be controlled by Windows I suppose it won't work.

Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
Hi - I did that and the folder has disappeared in RegEdit and is recreated when I open xplorer2 but the folder list under tasks is still there. I've tried rebooting before opening the program - the FrequentDir folder has been recreated but the list is still there on the W10 taskbar :( I've searched ...

Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
Hi Sorry to be a wuss but I've opened the Reg Editor and jumped to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZabaraKatranemia Plc\xplorer2_UC.global\FrequentDir The Data value is (value not set). If I click on Data I get the option to create a 'New' 'Key' or a choice of from 6 'values' headed by 'string' ...

Re: taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
Hi Nikos
Thank you!
There are a couple of reasons why I am grateful for having discovered your programmes a couple of decades ago! Firstly Explorer2 and secondly the level of support you offer!

taskbar icon jumplist (windows 10)
When I right click the icon on the taskbar in W10, I get the task list (jumplist?) which lists a number of folders. If I right click a folder in the list I only get the option of opening it. How can I delete folders in the list or clear the whole list - several folders present are way out of date an...

Re: blog: here's deskrule, a new kind of desktop search engi
From the blurb it looks like an excellent product. I'm looking forward to trying it out!
Do you intend it to be part of xplorer²? I suspect not!
However, will it be possible to integrate it into xplorer² if it is purchased separately?
