Path Finder is really worth it, too. The OS X Finder makes Explorer seem power-user friendly.

I'm pretty sure you can select the files you want to extract, then use either the "Extract to" toolbar button or go to "Commands/ Extract to the specified folder". You have to specify the folder in the subsequent dialog, but you can copy and paste from the location bar. Yeah, I j...

I've used it (2.2.0.2 ultimate) on Windows 8 64bit as well. I never encountered any issues as far as I can recall.

I did a search and couldn't find a mention of this program. I've seen Nikos recommend SysInternals Process Explorer before on his blog, and the open source clone Process Hacker is an improvement in pretty much every direction as far as I can tell. It's really impressive, especially with the plugins ...

TeraCopy is what I use to replace the normal Windows copy dialogs. I'm not sure whether it will work in your particular case, but I've never had problems with it. There's a registered version, but for most people the free version should be adequate.
