Re: Formatting symbolic links?
Fantastic, thank you so much! I hadn't been aware of that attribute, for symbolic links, obviously. Works fine, and since it's an additional entry formatting - preserving other, "main", formattings -, it's to be put at the end of the "formats" list. Think that I got a - perfect! ...

Formatting symbolic links?
I've got formatted my files (or more precisely, their list entries as they appear in x2) according to some rules, with the very powerful "Custom color coding" function (which also does bolding, italicizing, not only coloring list entries). I wanted to refine this, by "formatting"...

Re: How to use szExclusionFilter?
This works fine and both with .abc and *.abc, as in your screenshot. It's very useful to hide backup files which some programs write into the same folder for example.
Thank you very much!

How to use szExclusionFilter?
In https://www.zabkat.com/changes.txt you state, * [P] A registry setting (szExclusionFilter) defines a global exclusion filter for views and tree, hiding matching files and folders. It is a layout-specific setting, defined as a comma separated list of wildcards to EXCLUDE from view (alternatively i...

Re: Reopen x2 in its previous position and size?
Problem solved. Thank you for the suggestion. I don't have desktop icons for my program to begin with, but it seems that had not been the problem. In fact, after having set the "don't open minimized" key /M, the behavior had been as described above, several times, but THEN, it "graspe...

Re: Reopen x2 in its previous position and size?
Thank you. No, I position / size the application windows manually, they don't snap but there are some pixels between them. I discovered the /M attribute for opening, now I at least the opening to minimized mode is gone, but x2 does not remember its position/size between sessions, but opens maximized...

Reopen x2 in its previous position and size?
For the last months in W10 64bit, x2 does not reopen correctly anymore: I have 2 screens, with x2, side-to-side with another program (but x2 being the one on the left, i.e. on position 0,0) on the main = left screen. When, by opening x2, the other program to the right on it is already visible, x2 im...

Re: Bug: No quickjump to entry starting with char-samechar
Also (no edit possible it seems), in SC, this "stuck" behavior applies to any second character (identical to the first one or not), since here in x2, it's just for identical characters, which makes even less sense, since the "explanation" above seemingly also mixes up first and s...

Re: Bug: No quickjump to entry starting with char-samechar
I was differentiating, as is usually done, between immediate pressing of 2 keys, "ab" within a second or so, and 1-key pressing, then again 1-key pressing after a little pause. What the "it's good as it is" user above probably has in mind, is very quick pressing the 1-key pressin...

Bug: No quickjump to entry starting with char-samechar
In in a pane, you enter ab, the selected line (if something starting with ab exists) will be the first ab... entry, ditto for bc, etc. If you want to jump to aa..., bb..., cc..., ..., this does NOT work accordingly. (It's been years I'm suffering from this, and since nobody else seems to notice, I f...

Re: blog: artificial intelligence primer
Well, AI mostly isn't real AI but just very, very elaborate "traditional" programming, nowadays, the "big 5" (or was it 5? google, amazon, ms...) excepted, of course. I've just implied it, some hours ago, re x2's alt-h dialog and there, its "Additional Rules" field: Nik...

Re: autoit AHK and what have you
Since you've asked: ;-) I use AHK; the decision was probably another big error of mine since some of the AHK programmers are clearly nuts, it's remained to be some of the most chaotic, most awful "languages" there are, syntax-wise, and for "continuity" reasons - refactoring, anyo...

Re: Columns
So what, namsupo? Does DO show the respective contents of the "Comment" "column" of ALL currently visible items (files/folders, e.g. about 60 if that's the available "height" of your screen), together with the file names, as x2 does, OR does is only show that additional...

Re: Hyper-filters: hints, wishes (especially for shortkeys to stored ones)
4. Thank you for the explanation, so you use ":string string..." for what's generally called a "phrase search": "string string..." (WITH the ""); I would never have guessed that! Of course, that (in your example), some regular "abc xyz" would also fi...

Re: Hyper-filters: hints, wishes (especially for shortkeys to stored ones)
3. Thank you for the confirmation. As it's totally non-standard, it'd be really helpful to have a mouse-over hint or similar, in order for the users this not discovering at their expense only, after some time. "4.:exact is only matching "exact", no words or subwords, the whole thing m...
