Re: Find All Images

Oh! Yes that was my mistake haha. What I was thinking is a bit different. What I thought famadorian was trying to say was that "file", the Linux tool, is able to find and list all image files regardless of the actual file extension. In that case, TrID is not the same since it can't find an...

Re: Find All Images

Just to note but TrID does not count. That tool is simply a file type identification tool and basically it just finds certain characteristics of file types (rar, iso, jpg, png, lzh, and so on) to help you identify files. It's very useful though! Have encountered various files without any extensions ...

Re: deskrule 1106 beta

Wow so I have mixed feelings now. I never paid attention so I did not know that F3 was a standard "Go to next search result". I just tried it out in my favorite editors and voila! So the only experience I ever got with F3 doing that was with the registry editor. I guess that just makes my ...

Re: deskrule 1106 beta

Let say you are searching for content "testing". There are multiple instancees of "testing" within one of the file that DeskRule found. Is there a way for thee preview pane to jump/highlight from one instance of "testing" in a file to another instance of "testing&q...

Re: Copy To, Move To Options

obviously you select what the overwrite option/policy is BEFORE you disable the box, that is before you turn on silent mode. and any way as i explained above the only reasonable choice for silent mode is the default overwrite (ask) mode Obviously pj understands the logic of that dialog and he/she's...

Re: Copy To, Move To Options

On an unrelated note, nikos, have you ever thought about making the capitalization in buttons consistent? It's driving me nuts (I think I have OCD or something) but seeing "Copy", "cancel", "define", and "Save" in the Copy To dialog is just kind of weird. Thi...

Re: Copy To, Move To Options

Oh! Thanks for explaining this. I thought I was the only one going crazy whenever I try reading the logs but could not get the info I want out of it. A few times I had to go back and manually check what was changed and what was not. At least now I know what to keep an eye out for depending on what I...

Re: Feature Request - Smart EDIT

Yeah, CodeBlocks is the IDE, but that's not really important - the source is tiny, relatively speaking; the project file is included just in case anyone wants to compile from scratch where the libraries are manually linked. The compiler is the TDM-GCC 64 branch of MinGW, but that too isn't importan...

Re: Feature Request - Smart EDIT

But but but!! But imagine this! You can use xplorer2 and in the settings, have all images (ext: bmp, gif, jpg, png) associated with the wonderful and sexy *Insert File Image Software*. Now whenever you take your sexy portable file manager to other computers or your evil aunt's house, you can browse ...

Re: Feature Request - Smart EDIT

Haha. This is a feature that XYplorer has for a very long time... but that's beside the point. Thanks to Kilmatead and FrizzleFry, xplorer2 can now do it too! Yeah!! I always wanted to ask to ask nikos for this function but always afraid he's going to shoot it down lol. Anyway, Kilmatead, is that wo...

Re: losing a customer?

Wow! So much text here about file managers and stuff off tangent! @drac Sure. Comparing editors is easier. But... at least it seems to me that editor comparisons are... violent. Well either way, I continue to do what I always do. Use as many file managers as I feel like it. Obviously some of you her...

Re: v3 reliability

Yeah I had that happened a few times but it's not limited to your program. It seems to happen to any program so I think it might actually be a Windows thing. Although typically when that happens, it's because xplorer2 or the other programs are hanging and then you minimize it. Seems like Windows som...
