This does work to release the lock, however if I have a dual pane open, then browse to the USB device using a single pane viewer (the installers' integration option was enabled) and then close the pane, the USB stays locked. If I re-open the single view window, create another pane and switch to it I...

display update "bug"
I often copy a file name, delete the file and create a zero-byte file with the same name so I track podcasts, tv shows, etc I have already seen. I will sometimes end up with what appears to be duplicate files of the same name. Steps to reproduce: select a file press F2 to rename shift-end to select ...

comment column
On my system, the GetDetailsOf comment column is actually 14, and I'm on Windows XP SP3. Column 19 brings up Track Number for me. Column 26 is my highest, with Dimensions.

xplorer2 not opened consistently
I activated the integration option during install, as my preference, and it usually works as expected. However, there are times when a regular explorer window is opened instead of xplorer2, and navigating within that window by double clicking a folder opens xplorer2. This may be because an applicati...

Re: Scrap Containers
3. I must then drag-drop or CTRL-S to the taskbar (there's nowhere else to go). In the case of drag-drop the scrap container re-appears and I'm told that I can't drag-drop to the taskbar after all. So I then drop the files in the scrap container, which is all I wanted to do in the first place. For ...

not a valid Win32 application
I should probably start a new thread but your shell extensions blog came at a time when I was having problems loading the editor2. At first I thought it was F3 shortcut problem, but F4 worked fine. Then I noticed other programs were not launching properly, so I thought it might be a shell extension ...

No, it's not on the network. I realize it always does "shift-delete" whether shifted or not, but it does ask for confirmation. Anyways, nikos confirmed it so it's not just me ...

Delete during Find operation
Can anyone else confirm this behavior? I ran a large Find operation from a dual pane window to a scrap window. During the search I both shift-deleted and deleted files in the main window. I did not receive a delete confirmation for either, and the files were deleted. Once the find finished I was bac...

I ended up using Mirror Browsing and Sync-Touch on the contents of each folder. It took a few minutes, but now it's done. I ran Compare subfolders when done to ensure I didn't miss any. (I didn't because xplorer2 remembers where in the tree I traveled). I could not use robust copy or sync-o-paste be...

Sync Touch in Scrap containers
The Sync Touch command appears to not be available while using Scrap Containers. I have a large number of folders that have had their dates mangled by NT (one hour different). The file contents are the same. I can do a sync-o-paste to copy the affected files over the ones with the incorrect dates, ...

This is an old topic, but I had to mention the following program: http://www.xxcopy.com It's freeware for personal use, and blows xcopy :thumbdn: away. I use it for incremental backups mostly, but I've used it where I can start a backup, interrupt it and resume later. It plays well on the network wi...
