Re: SHIFT+ALT+C not working

Correct.

Code: Select all

dir c:\*.* /x
lists both short and long path names.

SHIFT+ALT+C in xplorer² sends short file/folder names to the clipboard only in the C: drive. 8.3 names are OFF by default for all non-system drives.

Re: SHIFT+ALT+C not working

Correct. DIR <FOLDER NAME> /X only lists long subfolder names. Funnily, “Path Copy Copy” version 13.0 gives the 8.3 DOS names as live examples in its own settings dialog, but fails to send them to clipboard through the xplorer² right-click menu! This new behavior of Windows 10 might be linked to the...

SHIFT+ALT+C not working

The xplorer² “SHIFT+ALT+C” hot key or the CopyPath “Copy Short Path” right-click command are not working on my system (Windows 10 Anniversary with all updates). Can anybody confirm this?

Re: Scrap pane details & long filenames

Nikos,
You might want to take a look at the following pages:
Handling Long Words and URLs (Forcing Breaks, Hyphenation, Ellipsis, etc)
word-break

Re: Scrap pane details & long filenames

File names with underscore characters are also broken (see screen capture).

Re: Scrap pane details & long filenames

This glitch is also happening in “List” View mode. The workaround is child’s play: Download http://zabkat.com/extras/x2details.txt. Open it in a pure text editor. Change the “.pane” class code from .pane { float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: 5px; max-width: 250px; } to .pane { float: left; ...

Re: red shoes

Hi Nikos,
As far as I am concerned, it would be a welcome change. As things stand, the current ultimate icon uses the same orangey color as Google Chrome Canary. The overall shape is different, but the colors are so similar that they fool the eye.
Cheers,

Sync Wizard

In xplorer², is there a way to compare file contents while disregarding the UNIX/Windows LF / CRLF differences in line endings? WinMerge has this option.
If it isn’t available in xplorer², please consider this as a feature request!
Cheers,
Robert
