Well, x2 isn't the first file manager I use, and I always wonder why usually files and folders treatened different?

BTW, most FMs have a setting for controlling this behaviour.

Sh*t happens!

Pardon my French. Selection is being toggled when you press [SPACE] key, while I expect the space to be counted as a part of file name.

Ha! Just checked -- Explorer handles this situation as expected.

Find as you type

Say, I want to get quickly into My Pictures folder. I open My Documents and start typing M, y, [SPACE]... And guess what happens when I press [SPACE]?..  8)

Any workaround?

No, I don't use any skinning apps.

I'll post debug info a bit later, thanks for the link.

Re: Office 2003

Have you considered implementing an Office 2003 look & feel to xplorer2 ... I think that Office 2003 interface is not only pretty and modern, but also the defacto standard nowadays. Oh, please, no. Lots of people implemented the Office 2003 look , but it's rare when the one implement also a fee...

Show/hide system & hidden files keyboard shortcut

My usual file browsing mode is "Hide system & hidden files". But sometimes I need to enter, say, Application Data folder, which is system. So I have to go to options and tick the option, do the job, then clear check box. Maybe it makes sense to add a keyboard shortcut that will switch ...

could add another option for it in the F5/F6 options itself
I believe this option is of "set and forget" kind.

continuing OT ... and not just for novices, but also for seasoned users who are dealing with petabytes of information co-"managed" by 1000s of users on an extended network. ;) Uhm... Yes, you're right. :) Then registry option would be appreciated for those who aren't afraid nor network ad...

wasker , I think, if you think it through, you would appreciate the app asking to create non-existent path\folder(s) -- as a double-check against typo's and/or mis-recollection of path where you want something copied/moved.   (But the way things have worked in x2 is that nikos often provides a regi...

Mobile device exploring

Does "Mobile Device" (added by ActiveSync for PocketPC) exploring works for anyone in x2? Explorer works as expected.

If you want, I can run some kind of debug build or something like that.
